Justice at last! UK teen collapses after being found guilty of false rape accusation

Story here. This one speaks for itself. Excerpt:

'As a jury at the trial of Rosie Waggett returned the unanimous guilty verdict, after deliberating for less than an hour yesterday, the 18-year-old fell to the floor, crying uncontrollably.
...
Mr Muir said: She said she didn't have any money, so I asked how she was going to pay for the taxi. She said, "well if he (the taxi driver) asks me about the money I'll just say he tried to rape me."'

Her skill as an actress will ultimately help her when sentenced. Never underestimate the power of female melodrama. As for 'justice at last'? The proof is in the pudding. Lets see what her penalty is. Hopefully the man wrongfully accused will get justice.

Also there might be an appeal - "we know the guy is innocent, buy maybe the girl still didn't lie." LOL!!

Could Britain be the first country to make false rape/sex assault accusations a major felony? It would be a major step in promoting human rights.

That would make Britain "Great" again.

A false rape accusation is rape.

I don't think there is any such crime as false accusation in the UK at present. These people are usually charge with 'wasting police time' which is a crime or more seriously with 'perverting the course of justice'. The second of these can certainly lead to a prison sentence. From the remarks of the judge he feels a prison sentence is merited but as you might expect is reluctant to do it. As the above post says don't underestimate cunt power ( OK I paraphrase).

The women who commented in the Newspaper site were not concerned about the taxi driver. They were only concerned about the impact false accusers would have on the credibility of real rape victims.

We have to demand our rights and not expect compassion from women.
