Megan Fox boycott set for August 4
Submitted by Matt on Thu, 2009-07-30 00:49
Off-linked from MSN.com, surprisingly. Asylum.com is one of the participating sites. I don't know if MANN's call for this had anything to do with it, but I don't care. I am just glad it's happening. Excerpt:
'Have you guys heard of this actress, Megan Fox? She's in the "Transformers" movie and she's super-hot and -- oh, you have heard of her already? Maybe that's because we, the media, have been covering her every weird thumb, geek-shunning, supposed bisexuality, Star Wars-T-shirt wearing, and sexy photo taken.
But on August 4, that all changes, as Asylum bands together with the other manly sites of the Web in an Internet-wide media ban on all things Megan Fox. After the jump, see our explanation and find out how you can help.'

I don't keep up with this
I don't keep up with this stuff, but from the photos at the link, I don't see where she's all that hot. Also the blue nail polish looks pretty sorry.

manonthestreet Up until now

Up until now I neither knew nor cared who she was. I still could not care less about her. For us the whole idea of a 'hot chic' is an absurdity.
Megan Fox is not hot!
What is "hot" anyway? Is it what magazines and TV tell us "hot" is? I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Most "hot" chicks that I have met are the biggest bitches in the world because they think they're "all that".
There is no way in hell I would watch a movie with this person in it. She's not getting one penny of my hard earned money.
Well I think she's hot
I saw the movie and I definitely think she's hot, at least in the movie. And I support men's right to call a woman
"hot" just as women do to men. I oppose the double standard that says it's only ok for women to say that about men but men have to use restraint in saying that about women. Bullshit. Men should say it MORE. And I support women who are willing to show off their bodies and look hot despite the misandrist PC attitudes against that.
As to her sexuality I support her feeling free to say who she dates or is attracted to, just as a heterosexual actor/acress can do. Good for her.
The only thing I've seen that I don't like is her misandrist comment about why she won't date women who sleep with men because "men are so dirty."
Ok. So if the boycott is about that comment, then I totally support it. But so far I don't see that issue anywhere on the site. Did I miss something? Or did they?
That's the way I see it it
That's the way I see it it too, captain. Don't contribute to making parasite filth like Megan Fox rich and famous.
Hot? Maybe.
Ok, perhaps some people think that she is hot, but once she opens her mouth saying things such as "men are so dirty", her beauty to me becomes irrelevant. She may be a hot type of trophy girlfriend but other than that I cannot see any redeeming qualities in this man-hater. My reason behind not supporting her is 100% because of her comment.
Now I just wish there was a way that we could boycott Sonia Sotomayor...but that's another story.
