"Boys who are victims of female sex offenders, though, seem to receive less sympathy from friends, family and the public, who often look at having sex with an older woman as a conquest."

"Maston added that the male victims often think, "'(Am I) going to be in trouble? And, because they are the male, 'Is there something wrong with me?' 'Are they going to complain because they didn't like it?'"

"Often, young victims of these offenders do have difficulties, (including) depression, suicide attempts, drug use," Lewis said. "Those are things that can happen."

Lewis said female sex offenders comprise 2 percent of all sexual abusers. Among 4,226 people on Connecticut's sex offender registry, 66 are women, amounting to just 1.5 percent.

Misandric bile. The whole article. Denial(only 2%), Excuses (only abused women abuse), Blame some one else (or a man made them do it). That Forensic psychiatrist must have majored in Women's Studies with a minor in psych. Feminist through and through.

Please, don't believe that crap. It is absolutely worthless in understanding female sexual abusers.

As long as feminist beliefs are our starting point in understanding behaviors based on gender (behaviors should not really be understood primarily based on gender in the first place) we will never gain a better understanding of HUMAN sexuality and deviance (or for that matter what is truly deviant and what is merely misunderstood taboo but extremely common behavior).

This article's purpose is to pay lip service to the idea of female sex offenders and to reassure the general public that despite increased media attention towards female sex offenders you really have nothing to fear. Most people will buy that 2% figure and the whole idea that females are mostly 'nurturing' (also known as horny and inherently selfish and a little immature).

One violent women in all the women she has treated and conveniently a man made her that way! What crap! Why do we let people like her get phDs and become recognised researchers??

This article is DEADLY to men.

It's really time to start changing our (as in society in general not so much MRAs) views of women. Society is creating the problems it claims to be fighting by only admitting to half the cause.

No woman could ever be an intentional (sexual or homicidal) predator, right?
