Ireland: 'Feminists demand equality, but women and children come first'

Article here. Excerpt:
'If there is a coherent moral order to the present thoughts of the National Women's Council, it is that words no longer mean what they used to. In the Council's prospectus for the year 2009, the word "equality" is used 38 times. Yet clearly, in the sisters' deviant vocabulary, "equality" does not mean equality of pain, or hardship or suffering or poverty. No: it means the opposite of equality. It means a protection from these conditions, regardless of what men are enduring. In other words, lifeboat-feminism, surely the most ignoble and unprincipled of all the many liberal political creeds which dominate our ethos today.'

He hit the nail right on the head with this one:...
..."Equality For All! Women And Children First!"
Women And Children?
I think some women are jealous when they see children getting more attention -- especially from men.

I thought the whole article was a cop-out.Read like he had been told to write a piece anti feminism but his heart wasn't in it."Votes and inferior",when the hell were irish women perceived to be inferior?,they ran their families with
rods of iron ,god help anyone who said they were inferior, perhaps Kevin is about 16 years old.As for voting,
the only people who voted were the wealthy landowners, women included, the vote only filtered down to the masses later and then 10 years later to the women, this was certainly the case in the uk and I don't recall it being any different in Ireland, north or south.Without the war the vote would have been much harder to win.
Of course women want a win,win situation, didn't all the unions want that, the difference now being that all the men have been emasculated or will be shortly.like the women,if
you want "Fair dos"as feminists used to say you have to be prepared to fight and rebel and bring public attention to your battle. If you can't be bothered then tough.
Great line!
Great line! Would make a great bumper sticker:
"Equality For All! Women And Children First!"
LOL!!
But...
The problem is some people, especially feminists, don't see the contradiction or hypocrisy in that phrase even though it's very obvious to any fair-minded, intelligent person.
You are right about that.
You are right about that. There is a feminist bookstore in Chicago that is named "Women and Children First" Can you believe it? lol
Women and Children First
^_^
I'm glad that people are starting to expose this farce for what it is! It's always fascinated me how according to feminists, equality = women treated better than men . This article did hit the nail on the head.
I can agree that children should come first, but never at the expense of another's rights. Sadly, there are many laws which put children first at the expense of men. I totally disagree when that is the case. I.E. Paternity fraud
