Double standard?
Article here. Excerpt:
"In the past year, a dozen women have been in Valley courtrooms on charges of sexually abusing minors. They range in age from 20 to 40; their victims from 12 to 17. Each woman was at least five years older than the boy or girl.
Local prosecutors and counselors aren't sure what to make of the apparent increase, but they see interesting differences between male and female offenders - in the nature of the cases, in the severity of punishment and, especially, in the way the abusers and their victims are viewed by the people around them.
"There's an enormous public perception problem," said Jean Fisher, who prosecutes sex abuse cases for Ada County. "If the boy's under 14, people might say 'poor little fellow,' but with a 16- or 17-year-old boy, you're more likely to hear, 'Oh, man, he got lucky!'"

A double standard?
In criminal matters?
In sentencing?
Because of gender?
Say it ain't so!
Is it just me...
...or has anyone else noticed that it seems 9 out of 10 articles related to gender issues, regardless of slant, are written by women? Or should I say, Are still written by women. For more than 4 decades, writing about gender has been considered "women's work," unworthy of "serious" journalists. This chauvinism (flipside of the chivalry coin) contributed mightily to what is known as the "Lace Curtain."

Not just you...
My observation is that 9 out of 10 writers of articles that are anti-male sexist are writtent by women.
Institutionalized Double Standards
........when it comes to male and female defendants in under aged sexual abuse.
A man will get significant jail time for being coaxed over a long period of time into committing a so called crime by a police online under aged sex sting. The victim is really a fat balding middle aged hairy vice cop posing as a 14 yo girl. The victim is imaginary but the sentence is real.
Women on the other hand who do commit a sex crime on a real 14 yo male (and sometimes female) will get a light probation and treatment package deal.
It is really a hate war being directed against men by the government. The front of "protecting the children" is just that an excuse to persecute men just for being men.
This is one sick puppy of a country! And it is starting to be more than a little blatant!
This article is really a
This article is really a waste of time to read in the sense that it tries to explain the disparity in sentencing, passing it off as the bi-product of women usually having psychological disorders.
Hmmm... where have we heard this before? Oh yeah, this is the same excuse women who murder their kids are always churning out. Does anyone believe it? I'm not buying it...

Real Men Don't Take Abuse!
Women love cake!
AND they love eating it too. Since women are so much stronger, more stable, more reliable than us oh so fragile males. And yet, the moment one of these allegedly superior beings is caught commiting a serious offence, whether it be violent and/or sexual guess what? She becomes a poor, fragile victim of patriarchy, or a needy, psychologically damaged 'patient', in need of treatment and even protection.
We've all read of stories like this before; it makes you wonder if there isn't some agenda, other than the obvious determination to exonerate women from all responsibility for their actions.
