NOW Press Release: Lawmakers Must Rethink Violence Against Women as a Hate Crime

'Given the history of violence against women we cannot deny that women are in a class by themselves, discriminated against, hated, used, disrespected and abused. Any form of violence against women is a hate crime, including "domestic violence." In a 1998 article titled "Rethinking Violence Against Women as Hate Crimes" by Ann Noel she states "domestic violence is often viewed as an individual dispute between a man and a woman, or the pathological problem of a particular man. Yet domestic violence reveals deep historical, cultural and legal roots to subordinate women. Men who assault their wives are living up to cherished Western cultural prescriptions -- aggressiveness, male dominance, and female subordination and they are using physical force as a means to enforce that dominance. Taking these crimes out of the realm of the individual and into the collective realm requires looking at how our society sanctions men's control of women."

That is NOT what feminists think. This is just another incremental power grab to make females a special class and to stick it to men. Never, ever, ever mistake these b*tches as being misguided, delusional, or overreactive. They know precisely what they're doing and what goals they have in mind: a complete subjugation of every man to every woman. And what is so frightening is that, given the present state of affairs, they have that power. They have the power to ruin legislators, judges, members of the media, and academics who dare to defy them. (And a dozen or so pep-rally e-mails from MRAs would not soothe their martyrdom.)
Please, no "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." To paraphrase Malcolm X: "They know exactly what they're doing. They've been doing it for so long, they're experts at it."

It's sort of understood that NOW means CRAZY, but wow, this is right over the top even for those loonies.
No laughing matter, but big boys don't cry
From '78, when improbably they gained entrance to male locker rooms, they have become increasingly emboldened by weak opposition. (Even Andrea Dworkin was stunned by the passage of VAWA!) Their demands have become more and more outrageous, and, perversely, more likely to be granted: Oklahoma is on the verge of granting pregnant women the right to summarily execute their "attackers." When MRAs mock them, it's like a battered midget gasping an insult at a professional wrestler who's mauling him. What else can we do?
I guarantee you that this bill will pass. Quietly. Without fanfare. A 3-inch column buried in newspapers.... And become settled law and a precedent. And lay nestled in the law books in support of the next outrage.
Oh, goody. Just can't wait.

Whatever it is, I'd like some, because NOW is clearly tripping.
They take all these problems that HUMANS face an try to apply them only to women. I.E. domestic violence. It is equally faced by men. I.E. Violence against women made to look appropriate at times by society.... Are you ****in kidding me? Men are sexually assaulted for entertainment all the time, and you want to talk to me about how only violence against women is viewed as acceptable?
NOW is the equivalent of a suburban child from a good, rich, family writing poems and gothic music about how horrible her life is. Meanwhile people all over the world have REAL problems.
BTW, it still amazes me how violence against women is such a buzz word seeing that over three quarters of violent deaths have male victims.
