Single sex classes may be efficient in short term academic results, but short and long term effects of sex segregation show increased brain capacity for aggression and decreased brain capacity for empathy and higher thought. I want to see hard, statistically valid evidence that sex segregation in primary, secondary and/or tertiary education is a direct cause of increased incidences of wars or I want to see a retraction, right here, right now.

See, Tom, I tend to base my conclusions on data and evidence, not on "feelings" and "feminist theory". Which is what you're doing here, barring the existence of evidence to back your claims.

Belgorod - yes it was Gandhi who said this but that only makes it quotable rather than true.

As a mother of two young boys, I like the idea of all-boy schools. We have to start recognizing gender differences so we can teach with the most efficient methods. As it is now, schools are ran by female educators and teaching methods are based on female learning styles.

While I grew up I watched my brother disciplined and humiliated everyday by teachers. I vowed that I would keep my boys out of schools and opt to home school them. Unfortunately it may not be possible. I have been looking all over for a public school that will teach using methods that are known to be pro-boy, but I can't find any.

I am sick and tired of people (feminist) unwilling to acknowledge and respect gender difference.

If feminists are whining and kicking and screaming about this, then it is definitely worthy of being looked at. Feminists love "fair-playing fields" when the fields are slanted towards girls and women. In schools, the education is taught by their minions, girls get "Take you Daughter to Work Day" while boys get lectured on how to not rape girls, classes are slowly moving towards female-strengths like writing and subjective crap and phasing out anything boys are good at like sports. Why would feminists want this indoctrination camp to be shut down?
