Canada: Early release denied for female teacher convicted of sex offense
Story here. Excerpt:
'A former Cornwall-area teacher found guilty of sexually assaulting a student has been denied early release from jail.
Jennifer Dorland, 42, recently went before the Ontario Parole and Early Release Board in the hopes of being set free less than two months after she was first sent to jail. The former teacher was sentenced to six months behind bars on Oct. 28. She had been convicted on Dec. 20, 2007, on counts of sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching involving a 13-year-old boy.
In denying Dorland early release, the parole board said the woman would pose a risk to society if she were to be released and that she is at risk to reoffend.
The board said Dorland, who now uses the surname Toews, only recently admitted being responsible for her crimes and had maintained her innocence from the time she was charged until after she was initially incarcerated.'

*Silence*
yet again the Misandrists are silent. Where are the calls for "Keeping the rapist locked up forever?" Oh that's right she is a woman and it's always a man's fault even if he is 13.
She should be as harshly treated as any rapist is. She is a rapist and should be treated as such. No discount. Can he file a civil lawsuit and get her to pay him for emotional distress? I don't know that much about Canadian Law.
If she were to pay restitution to him for raping him, maybe, just maybe it would turn the tables on these pedophiles. Of course then we're relying on the courts and getting all lawsuit happy.
I can't believe that someone
I can't believe that someone who got that little of a sentence could even be considered for early release. They even admitted that she was at risk to reoffend. So, why such a light sentence? I hate how people try to justify a crime like this by saying that the boy probably wanted it. Whether he wanted it or not, is out of the question. Either way, it still isn't right for a grown woman to have a sex with a boy. And there are emotional repercussions which the boy will have to live with forever. Today, I am not at all proud to be a Canadian. 'Tis a sad day for Canada.
BTW, Arden, I used to chat with a dude named Andre Linoge. Is that you?
