Attorney Suing Columbia over Women's Studies Course Speaks
Submitted by lance on Wed, 2008-08-27 02:49
For those of you in New York on Thursday, a chance to show your support.
From Facebook Announcement:
Lawyer and self-proclaimed "anti-feminist" Roy Den Hollander is suing Columbia University for offering Women's Studies courses, claiming it is sexist and discriminatory against men. This follows lawsuits against various NYC nightclubs for offering "Ladies' Nights". He'll give a short talk briefing us on the case against Columbia and then answer any questions from the audience. All welcome.

No Standing
I'm not an attorney, but it would be my expectation that the court will dismiss his case as having no standing or merit.
In other words, his argument will never be heard or legally recognized.
This is a common tactic when "radical" voices appear in America's free court system.
Is someone going to give us more detail?
As this link requires a facebook account, which I am sure many of us do not have.
If there is information pasted in facebook can it be pasted here?

Its Too Bad
I would love to go considering its a 30 minute train ride from my apartment, but my sick days are dwindling.

This guy's got BBB...
This guy has big brass balls, and we should do what we can to support him. We might doubt his case. He is probably facing long odds, and we might disagree on some finer points, but he is on the right track.
He is attacking the root: The indoctrination at the university level. That is where the worst damage is done, while fathers (if they are still married to students' mothers) are far away, and when the soil of the mind is most fertile to the planting of such weeds as feminism and man-hating.
Listen to a Tom Leykis interview on 8/19 to hear him out.
Win Win Situation
First of all, he's not going to get Women Study programs eliminated. His only chance is using Title IX to argue a Men's Studies must also be offered. Even if that fails, this lawsuit has gotten some decent MSM exposure. Many will take a second look at feminism and possibly learn what we already know...Women Studies = Misandry. Either way, he wins. [which means, we win!]

question, anthony
Which makes you more sick: a cold, work, or feminism? Get your priorities straight. Call work and tell them your car blew up! (you were going to take the train anyway).

Its Possible
Its 4:00am [I can't sleep] and I'm seriously considering calling in sick. At this point its 50/50. I guess I could tell them the truth: My mission to destroy feminism supersedes any work related responsibilities. Another problem is I took a sick day Tuesday to see a Yankee game.

Don't waste your time on the Yankees
The Sox will win anyway (just kidding!)
I lost interest in baseball when the Senators left Washington for Texas.
