Mom Suffocates Five Sons-- No Jailtime

Story here. Excerpt:

'The 32-year-old woman, named only as Steffi K., had been found guilty of killing the boys, aged between 3 and 9 years old, in the village of Darry in the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein.

Police had found the bodies of the five boys in a house in Darry last December. The woman gave herself up and admitted doping the children before killing them.

"She told the court and the psychologist that she had heard voices threatening the children and she wanted to protect them. She killed them because she believed she was protecting them from these evil powers," said a spokesman for the court in Kiel.'

I don't know what to say, I mean no jail? No Death Sentence? She gets help? It sounds like a joke to me.

Andrea Yates recently killed 5 children here in the US and in the death penalty state of Texas and got off with a temporary insanity plea.

The same logic that kept her (and other Texas killer mom's out of the death chamber) has obviously be exported to other Western cultures.

If you are a female and you kill your kids just say you heard voices or the devil made you do it and you will eventually walk with no criminal record to gum up your future life after release from state custody. And by all means, never run after the murder or murders and always admit your involvement but never guilt.

I am not one for vigilante justice but in this case....I would be all for it. It would be warrented and the "voices in my head toldme to do it."

to abuse, neglect, and murder children.
having a vagina means that you could snap at any time.
having a vagina is very stressful, creating a very tempermental personality.

there are many defenses for crimes that women perpetrate.
it starts with a physical exam.
Vagina: Check!

OK - now lets pick from the list of "known effective defenses"...

I noticed an ambiguity in the way courts treat child killers. At times they act as though it was the most heinous crime possible. But at other times they act as though the childes' life did not count for much and that they where of lesser importance.

The main point of the article was that this murderous woman's crime caused the court system to inquire about whether "support services" for mothers needed to be increased!

And apparently they have heated garbage cans where women can drop off their unwanted babies!

That is a society gone completely mad.

Don't forget that a woman can also murder her spouse with near impunity by convincing a jury that her husband had been abusive (and that's not hard for a woman to do -- just look at the Mary Winkler case). Women can -- and do -- get away with murder.

First, the death sentence has been abolished here long ago, so no chair or gas chambers for anyone (we had enough of that after 1945).
And the verdict means she will remain locked up in psychiatric care, and actually this is the only way to get a real life sentence, as jail for life means something like 15-20 years here.

Now a man might have been slapped with a jail term on top of that, but what matters is that she will NOT walk. Most likely never.
