Australian Woman Kills Boyfriend Who Stopped Her From Playing Springsteen

An Australian woman stabbed her de facto husband to death after he stopped her playing her favorite Bruce Springsteen CD.

Karen Lee Cooper told arresting police: "I couldn't even play Bruce Springsteen on my stereo -- can you believe that? Can you believe that?"

In the Supreme Courty in Brisbane Thursday, Cooper, 50, was jailed for eight years.

She pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Kevin Lee Watson on July 8, 2006.

This is an absurdly lenient sentence...Even for a murderess!

The only concert I ever walked out on after having paid for front row tickets was Bruce Springsteen.

It was total schlock.

We're talking homecoming event at a Big Ten university during the height of his popularity.

It was a disgrace.

I did like the one sad acoustic LP he made a few years ago.

Three hours of really bad amplified distorted saxophone solos is not my idea of a good time...

That's murder one! She should have gotten 25 to life. I guess if you have a vagina and you murder someone for some dumb reason you come up with, that's reason enough to be charged with manslaughter instead of the actual crime, which is murder. Quite frankly, I'm surprised she got any time at all. It seems women can murder and molest whomever they please and get little more than a slap on the wrist for it.
