'Saudi Arabia must create laws to protect women from violence and also allow them to play a bigger role in society and the workplace, the United Nations said on Thursday.

"The lack of written laws governing private life constitutes a major obstacle to women's access to justice," said Yakin Erturk, the U.N.'s human rights expert on violence against women.

In a statement she called on Saudi Arabia to create a legal framework based on international human rights standards, including a law criminalizing violence against women.

That would also include a family law on marriage, divorce and minimum age for marriage, said the Turkish sociology professor...

"The need to address women's rights will grow increasingly urgent as the voices of women in Saudi society are heard," she said.'

I think it's awful women aren't allowed to drive, vote, etc. in S.A. What's also awful is that men aren't allowed freedom of religious choice, the right to vote, etc.

So the UN wants to make sure women get some rights in S.A. Too bad they aren't as interested in men getting rights there, too.

just hope the saudis have been monitoring MRA sites, for their own sake and the well being of their families. it is a concept which definitely emulates a destructive virus within a society.

The phrase that really got my attention in this official United Nations document was -

"The lack of written laws governing private life..."

That is truly illuminating.

Of course, we in Fem-America have been cowered into the idea that there is no such thing as "private life" for over three decades, thanks to feminism.

Just wait until the Saudis surrender to the domestic violence industry's coercion.

Women in their country will actually be given the right to drive a car.

After that -- chaos...

Moreover, Men's Rights Activists lend a layer of believability to women's claims of oppression when they decide to get involved with such nonsense.

The "Western Woman's Burden" needs to be buried already. Intelligient men and women are getting sick of the crusading collegiate pseudo-liberals and their politically correct gender war; which they attempt to impose on every single culture they come into contact with. Modern day America is crumbling due to the same bullshit our women(and men) are trying to shove down other nations' throats. Leave these people alone and let them live their lives.

The ego of the average American woman is extremely overblown and she seems to think she knows the best for everyone even though she herself still acts like a 10-13 year old spoiled brat. How the hell are you going to make far-fetched claims that someone else's house is burning if your shit is currently on fire?

In short: Mind your business and don't try to dictate what goes on in someone else's house. Quit watching Oprah -- and listening to Beyonce -- thinking it/she is reality. Don't cheerlead for other women(this goes for women and men) and shut the hell up sometime.

Anyone ever notice how it's never a Saudi Arabian woman that complains about the situation in Saudi Arabia? Don't get me wrong. I'd be all for fixing a problem if there was one. However, it's always spoiled feminazi brats which want to impose their will on other cultures. I also couldn't help but notice how they only seem to care about "violence against women". So, I suppose that if a wife were to beat her husband it would be justified? What a load! I swear feminists and greenpeace have a lot in common in the sense that they spew a ton of BS, claiming problems exist where they truly don't, just for the sake of their own self-righteousness.

I guess western culture and middle eastern culture have different points of view on this issue. In the middle east they're smart enough to not allow for feminism, which always snowballs out of control thanks to the power granted to manipulative, lying whores. However here in the western world, these spoiled whores have created an avalanche of compensation for ficticious opression.

The United Nations has become a veritable nest of feminazis pushing American-style radical feminism globally.

There is a measure called CEDAW - the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women - also called the "international bill of women's rights." It is an attempt to impose uniform global standards and laws based on this:

"The Convention defines discrimination against women as "...any distinction, exclusion or restriction made on the basis of sex which has the effect or purpose of impairing or nullifying the recognition, enjoyment or exercise by women, irrespective of their marital status, on a basis of equality of men and women, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural, civil or any other field."

And no, CEDAW does not consider a universal female military draft as one of its "fundamental freedoms" for women.

CEDAW sounds like a real load of crap. I don't get it. There's so many bills about issues that affect everybody, but they always try to single everybody else out and make it so it only applies to women. If that stupid bill came into effect, I suppose that it would be a crime for women to not be allowed in the Knights of Columbus, even though there's a female equivalent for women. Probably the same for girls and boy scouts.

As for the NWO, I believe it'll happen eventually. The bible warns about this in more than one book. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers.

Women kill with psychological/emotional hatred that manifests many times into physical hatred/assaults if not checked.

Get a group of women together and start making up far-fetched claims of oppression and watch how fast the klan mentality emerges.

I have said this before, the mentality of the klan is largely that of a group of women. It's no wonder that all of the hate propaganda, etc. was created and spread by the WKKK.

Women have always been behind hate movements. Men have always been dumb, pigheaded, racist and pussywhipped enough to support women's nonsense and thus end up taking the full blame everytime.
