Yet Another Beer Company Tries To Profit Off Of The Sexual Abuse of Males

Hey guys. I'm sad to inform you of yet another beer company that thinks the sexual abuse of males is comedy. If this isn't proof that beer must have a detrimental effect on brain cells, I don't what does. In this ad for Rolling Rock, a baseball deflects off of the scoreboard, hitting not one, not two, not three, but about ten men in the crotch. You can view the ad here. I must warn you though, your IQ will probably be cut in half from watching it, as this is the most immature commercial I've ever seen. I decided to write the company.

I sent them this letter regarding the ad:

Hi. I recently saw an ad which your company made on the internet. In this ad, a baseball player hits a baseball which deflects off the scoreboard then proceeds to hit around ten men in the crotch. I'm just writing to let you know that advertisements like that are offensive to some, as they try to make light of men's genitals getting abused. It would be like if you made a commercial where several women got hit in the boobs or box by the baseball. That wouldn't be acceptable. So why is this? Speaking of which, why is that only men are the victims of the slaptstick violence in this ad? Since you had several victims, you could have included women as well. I find ads like this one offensive and denigrating, and I have no interest in purchasing your product.

Thanks so much for the e-mail. I'm sorry you were not amused by our recent ad, but hey, to each his own. That's what makes this country great.

Please keep in mind, we've got a lot of new ads coming down the pike, which will hopefully be better suited to your tastes. And if not, that’s cool. Rolling Rock isn’t sold in Canada right now, anyway.
