Apparently the women of the region are upset with their husbands as they are often the primary breadwinners and their unemployed husbands often turn to alcohol. Just look at some of the semi-literate misandrist comments on YouTube and you can see the rude and ignorant attitudes of many posting there. Would the reverse be acceptable with employed husbands battering their unemployed wives who drink?

Yesterday, Feb. 18, SAVE launched its long-awaited Accusing U. project, designed to raise awareness about the Department of Education’s Sexual Assault Directive, and stop false allegation of rape on campus.

The roll-out featured a panel presentation at the annual conference of International Students for Liberty, held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington DC. The session, “How the Government Plans to Regulate Your Sex Life,” featured presentations by attorney Ron Henry, author Philip Cook, and SAVE program director Teri Stoddard.

Ninety students attended the session, many asking candid questions during the Q and A period. Afterwards, panelists engaged in one-on-one conversations with audience members, with a number of students volunteering to become Accusing U. Campus Coordinators.

From back in 2007, still this is a very good, brief article describing how and why it is that men lose sensitivity (and, a lot of it) in their penises when they are circumcised. Story here. A father goes to his mother-in-law's home to pick up his son and is shot twice by her. She then calls 911 and alleges that HE tried to shoot HER. Unbeknownst to his mother-in-law was the fact that the man had recorded the incident on his iPhone. Let us stress the importance of using personal surveillance devices in securing justice. Excerpt:

Salvatore Miglino, 39, was shot in the ribs and the shoulder by 66-year-old Cheryl Hepner.

Mr Miglino caught the attack in Florida on Wednesday on video - because he had set his iPhone to record in anticipation of an argument with Mrs Hepner.

After a brief exchange outside the granny's house in Tamarac, Florida near Fort Lauderdale, Hepner allegedly shot Mr Miglino in the shoulder and rib.

The exact discussion before the shooting is unclear, but it appears relatively calm.'

So, now it's not even about getting 'ladies' into bars so as to attract men to come and pay for drinks while the 'ladies' drink gratis. Now it's things like entire entertainment venue performances.

Wonder when it'll be food, housing, etc., too, all government- (ie, men-) paid? Think I am being too uptight? Think again. It's definitely already happening. It starts in small ways, gets larger, and eventually, becomes expected and 'normal' at larger and larger scales. Wait and see.

'Police say 50-year-old John Loxas was holding his grandchild in his arms as he walked around his Scottsdale neighborhood Tuesday night threatening neighbors and police.

"There were at least three officers in position to engage the suspect. At least one of the officers thought he saw something in the suspect's hands," said Sgt. Mark Clark.

Loxas was standing outside of his home with his grandchild still in his arms when Officer James Peters fired one shot to the head, killing the suspect.

Police say the 9-month-old boy was not injured during the shooting.

'Ground-breaking research shows that boys lower their sights if they think their work is going to be marked by a woman because they believe their results will be worse.

It also shows their suspicions are correct – female teachers did, on average, award lower marks to boys than unidentified external examiners. Male teachers, by contrast, awarded them higher marks than external examiners.

The findings, published by the Centre for Economic Performance today, could have immense repercussions for boys because of the dearth of male teachers in the profession. Only 15 per cent of primary school staff are men.

This letter-to-the-editor acknowledges something rarely acknowledged: that men are at greater risk for suicide than women. It also gives some useful statistics on the issue and supports a bill to help suicidal persons. The letter:

'Colorado has the sixth-highest rate of suicide in the nation (867 deaths in 2010, including 447 in the metro area). The largest number is among men of working age (35 to 54). Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among young people (ages 10 to 34). Men over 75 are at highest risk. A death by suicide has a profound impact on family, friends, the workplace, and results in an untold loss of productivity.

Colorado House Bill 1140 (sponsored by Rep. Matt Jones and Sen. Linda Newell) will, if passed, ask hospitals to provide information about suicide (risk factors, signs and sources of help) to family and friends to whom a suicidal person is being discharged. Any effort that gets information into the hands of those closest to suicidal persons will help save lives.
