'In a tearful courtroom confession, a daughter has admitted using the best-selling sadomasochistic sex novel Fifty Shades of Grey as the basis for a series of false rape claims against her father.

Anti-Feminism: The New Heresy

Article here. Excerpt:

'Tory MP Philip Davies is being threatened with suspension from his own party. No, he didn’t fake his expenses or get caught in flagrante, wearing nothing but a replica Chelsea top. All Davies did was criticise feminism.
...
Many have praised Rayner for calling out Davies’ putative sexism, most notably Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn. Tweeting his support for Rayner’s call for a party suspension, Corbyn said Davies’ comments ‘show utter contempt for women’.

Yet is Davies really deserving of this scorn? For a start, as most women will no doubt be aware, men’s rights activists meetings are pretty lame affairs. The comments made at such gatherings are scarcely interesting enough to be considered threatening. But Rayner seems to think differently. ‘[Davies] endorses and legitimises the inflammatory and toxic rhetoric of groups who are misogynistic to their core’, she writes. Davies’ speech, she is saying, actually poses a threat to women’s safety and wellbeing.'

Article here. Excerpt:

'The Labour MP calling for Philip Davies MP to be sacked for addressing a men’s right’s group has attended gender segregated Muslim events and was selected to stand for parliament on a discriminatory all-woman shortlist.

Angela Rayner, the hard left, “feminist” MP for Ashton-under-Lyne failed to condemn or speak out against the blatant gender discrimination committed at a Labour Friends of Bangladesh in November last year, despite sitting in the segregated audience, as Guido Fawkes reported.'

Harvard blesses women-only club that promises to go ‘gender neutral’ but not admit men

Article here. Excerpt:

'Let’s see whether the Harvard administration really cares about getting rid of single-sex clubs as a matter of equity, or whether it just wants to demonize men.

Facing the same pressure as so-called final clubs to open their membership to the opposite sex or get hit with sanctions by Harvard, the all-female Seneca organization has promised to become “gender neutral.”

What it hasn’t promised is that it will ever admit men.'

Australia: $13 million in funding for services for male victims

Article here. Excerpt:

'NSW Government has committed to providing $13 million over four years for Victims Services to pilot new responses for male victims of domestic and family violence, through expert NGO support (you can find details of the Tender process here).

This rollout is a historic Australia-first initiative and hopefully the first of many. It is the first step towards gender equity for family violence victims. It comes after 7 years of lobbying by the One in Three Campaign alongside other individuals and organisations.

The funding for these services is a new stream, and has NOT been taken out of the budget for women’s services. Nevertheless we expect Minister Pru Goward to receive a great number of angry letters dismayed at her decision to support male victims.'

Research finds that as a group, only men pay tax

Article here. Excerpt:

'With the exception of the age group between 45-59 (a 15 year span) years old, women cost more to the state than the tax they provide. In contrast, men generate more tax revenue than they cost between 23 and 65 (a 43 year span). In the brief period in which women generate more or as much tax money than they consume, men outscore them by at least 3 times.

By the end of her life, the average woman will have a negative fiscal impact of $150,000.

By large, the cumulative tax money given to women outweighs the tax money generated by women. The short period of positive impact of women between 45 and 59 is countered by 65 other years in which their allocated tax expenditure is more than what they supply the state.'

Woman gets 13 years after shooting man in face at Kent Starbucks

Story here. Excerpt:

'Surveillance footage showed Fermina Bertos, then 24, walking with Madrigal toward the coffee shop in July 2014 before pulling her gun from her purse as he opened the door for her.

Now, a woman who aspired to become an advocate for sexual assault and human trafficking victims is headed to prison for 13 years.

Bertos was sentenced in King County Superior Court's Kent courthouse Friday, where friends and family members of both Bertos and Madrigal packed the courtroom. Several attested to Bertos's standing as a kind friend, responsible employee, good daughter and star student.
...
But Bertos's promising future is on hold after the uncharacteristic shooting of a man she believed raped her the night before.

Bertos and Madrigal began to see each other less than two weeks before the shooting. One night, they had a sexual encounter that she believed was rape, but Madrigal told police she did nothing to indicate it was not consensual, according to court records.

'You have right to be believed' edited out of Clinton website

Article here. Excerpt:

'Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's campaign reportedly made some edits to the campus sexual assault page on its website shortly after a viral tweet from Juanita Broaddrick, Buzzfeed News reported.

The Democratic nominee's campaign deleted the line, "You have the right to be believed," from the page on its site.
The website originally read: "I want to send a message to every survivor of sexual assault: Don't let anyone silence your voice. You have the right to be heard. You have the right to be believed, and we're with you," quoting Clinton.

The last part of the quote has since been removed.

Clinton tweeted in September that every sexual assault survivor had "the right to be believed."

She was later asked at a campaign event if the women who had accused her husband of sexual harassment and assault, including Broaddrick, deserved to be "believed" also.'

Hope Solo, tolerated and excused in victory, exposes herself in Olympic defeat

Article here. Excerpt:

'It’s called composure, and Hope Solo’s never been overburdened with a lot of that, or grace either. The U.S. women’s soccer team had their temperaments tested by a savvy, conservative Sweden in the Olympic quarterfinals and lost. Solo has spent years undermining their collective equilibrium, and this one’s on her.

She’s a chronically rattled and rattling soul, the American goalkeeper. Let’s face it: For every shiny marketing moment and big victory she’s been a part of, she’s given the U.S. a nasty unwanted drama. The victories usually smoothed over her behavior. Not this time. This time she went pure loser and lout.

"Juries have no place at rape trials – victims deserve unprejudiced justice"

Article here. Excerpt:

'Almost a decade ago I wrote that rape might as well be legal. I feel the same way today. In 2013-14 in England and Wales, about 16,000 rapes were recorded by police, but only a third of these cases were sent to the Crown Prosecution Service. Approximately 15% of the recorded offences resulted in a charge. The actual attrition rate – meaning from reporting to conviction – is estimated at about 6%.
