Anonymous User writes "The Cleveland Plain Dealer has
this story about a woman who stood by and did nothing while her lesbian lover abused 5 boys living at the house. There was also a daughter living there who was not abused.
"She sentenced each woman to 30 years in prison for abusing the five boys by denying them food, beating them, locking them in a closet and forcing them to eat animal feces and lick the toilet seat if it was soiled"
"Assistant Summit County prosecutors Mary Ann Kovach and Greg Peacock told Cosgrove the five boys took the brunt of the physical abuse but all six children suffered long-term psychological damage. "What strikes me the most is that these are hate crimes, motivated by gender and racial bias," Peacock said. ""

LUEK writes "Here is yet another article about a female batterer.
But what makes this story special is that the prosecuting Assistant District Attorney (a female by the way!) recognizes the social stigma that protects female batterers and further victimizes male victims in these abusive relationships: HE THOUGHT NO ONE WOULD BELIEVE HIM!"
Even if he was believed at a conscious level, the light sentence indicates to me that the judge at some subconscious level at least just couldn't believe a woman could abuse a man. I would be amazed if this had been a man who'd pled no contest to charges of attacking a woman with a hammer, stabbing her a few times with scissors, disfiguring her genitals by biting them, and sending her to the hospital with a life-threatening injury if the sentence would have been the same, 9 months plus counselling. Anyway, the good news is that the DA recognized the stigma and the article not only refers to a female abuser as an abuser it even mentions her name!

TLE writes "Today was a case involving a woman suing a man for return of property she considered hers after a breakup. The man had been honest with the woman for several years that he had no intention of marrying her. Even so, Judge Judy went into a tizzy accusing the man of "wasting her time" whereby she began to award the woman most items in dispute as compensation for her lost time. Then she went off on how "men never get better, we just get used to them." I wrote in to Judge Judy to complain of her bias. She needs to understand that marriage is no longer an intelligent choice for men. And maybe women don't get better either. Anyone else see it?"

Congratulations to Larry Davis, co-founder of the Coalition for Fathering Families, on being recognized with a Jefferson Award for his community service. See this Post-Gazette article for details.
"Fortunately, Davis, 43, is a fast learner. As a result of his efforts on behalf of fathers like him, he is a winner of one of seven local Jefferson Awards given for community service. On Jan. 29 at the Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland, he and the others will receive a medallion, and Kaufmann's will donate $1,000 in his honor to the Coalition for Fathering Families, the group he co-founded."

"Three of the seven Democratic candidates vying to succeed state Sen. Cheryl Jacques showed up at a well-attended candidates forum in Wellesley last night hosted by a fathers' rights group."
"For us men who were always first-class citizens; on this issue we are third-class citizens," said Lipof, referring to the rights of fathers in the court system."

Anonymous User writes "Last week, like many other times in recent years,a female teacher was accused of sexually abusing a male student. This article, (from Florida`s Sun Sentinel), tries to shed some light on the problem and lists other offenders.
I feel this topic is in need of a serious study of some sort."
One thing these articles always seem to miss is the pressure on boys to have sex. By the age of 10, every boy I grew up with knew that if a woman offered them sex they must take it or they are "gay", which to a young boy means they are stupid, don't deserve any friends or respect, and that it's okay for other kids to beat them up. We hear about the pressure teenage boys put on teenage girls for sex all the time, but the media ignores the pressure society puts on boys by it's very concept of manhood.

Glenn Sacks has announced a new campaign to have the infamous boy-bashing shirts removed from all Dapy's clothing stores. Universal Studios owns the Dapy's chain and are the target for this protest:
"Dapy's preteen girls section has an anti-boy center - a 6' by 5' display of shirts and other items which say "Boys Make Good Pets, Everyone Should Own One," "Boys Are Stupid, Throw Rocks at Them," and "Stupid Factory - Where Boys Are Made." Some of the products depict violence against boys. Our goal is for Dapy to remove that center and all of the anti-boy products it advertises."
Click here for the full summary, pictures of the shirts, and contact information for this campaign. Let's keep that momentum rolling and score another victory! Update: This victory was quick once again, due to the organized efforts of NCFM-LA. Universal Studios has agreed to pull the offensive shirts from all of its clothing stores and not sell them again! A big thanks to everyone who participated!

Ray Blumhorst writes ""A Marine's wife and another woman were arrested with the deadly poison ricin, and authorities said the pair planned to kill the husband to get insurance money." -
article .
Once again the news media fails to use the words "domestic violence" to describe violence (planned) against a male by a female "intimate" and her associate."

Roy writes "MEN'S NEWS DAILY Forum has been erased and disabled by the joint actions of the forum's owner and its newbie female moderator, effective Saturday, January 10, 2004.
Anyone visiting the MND Forum site will discover "O" posts on the forum where thousands resided only yesterday.Men's rights advocates interested in witnessing the co-optation of men's free speech on the Internet might wish to follow this story as it unfolds! The only current messages are two communiques from the self-elected People's Revolutionary Forum Junta:
(Quotes from site posts) --
Braveheart (Site Owner) –
"The old forum has been permanently erased. In future, only members approved by the moderator will have posting rights.
This forum will no longer be a haven for misogyny, women-bashing or personal venting. Violation of this basic tenet will result in instant expulsion from the group.
You must be a member of this group to post here."

Navyblue (moderator) –
"The forum is in transition. Please be patient with the changes and you will be notified/receive access as soon as the administrative kinks are worked out."
~ Robin"
Feminist censorship is real. By taking down the MND forum, feminists have just attempted to shove a gag into the mouth of every person that regularly posted there. The question is, how loudly will the activists respond?
Note - since posting this more important information about this development has come out. For one thing, apparently it was not an outside group that had hosted the board which decided to erase it but Mike LaSalle, the owner of men's news daily, (and certainly no feminist), who decided to erase the board himself. Read the comments for more details.

CJ writes "A new survey from the University of Chicago found that typical urban-dwellers spend much of their adult lives unmarried -- either dating or single; and that there are no shelters in any of the studied communities for gay domestic abuse victims. The article fell short of mentioning all forms of abuse, but the interesting point about this is that for traditional radical feminist "abuse" shelters to recognize other victims of violence, even gay men, the doors will have to be open for a discussion on the true nature of the DV Industry, which is to criminalize men and destroy the family unit with no evidentiary standards, and neglect every other forms of abuse (including mother on child, or female on male).
The article is an interesting read too."

Jack Thomas, Jr. writes to us about the following misandrous ads..."The gist of the Sony commercial is as follows: A young man's kid sister secretly videotapes him singing "You Are My Shining Star" to his girlfriend. Then she shows the tape to the family while they all laugh and make fun of him for the purpose of humiliating and embarrassing him. And, when the dad says to the mom that this is a good line, she does the usual eye roll, making the dad look foolish and immature.
The KFC commercial shows two young white males eating something with barbecue sauce which is smeared all over their faces like a baby eating. Then the black male makes some condescending, disparaging remarks about how foolish they look."
Also, Disney's recent ad about going to Disneyland talks about doing what you really want to do and showing men sleeping in many different places in a manner to mock them as lazy, (again only white men), keep that in mind when planning your next vacation.

Matt writes "I heard an ad for TSA positions on the radio here in the DC area the other day. It mentioned that women, minorities, and sr. citizens were strongly encouraged to apply. The ad ended two sentences later with "TSA is an equal opportunity employer".
Well, unless of course you are white, male, and under 65."
