Ray writes "It seems more is changing in lifestyles than some women are happy with here .
'"I'm going to quit my job next year and just hang out," Ms. Drozd says she overheard her fiance, then 24, an accountant, boasting to friends. Ms. Drozd, who at 21 already had a successful career as a public-relations manager, says the notion nauseated her. "At that exact moment I felt like I was going to throw up. I looked at him and thought, 'Who are you?'" She soon broke off the engagement."
...so what's so wrong about some guys picking a lifestyle arrangement that many women have enjoyed for centuries???"

Now this is definitely one for Humor:
This is a quick story about the bond formed between a little girl and a group of building workers. It's allegedly true and makes you want to believe in the goodness of people and that there is hope for the human race.

Should I have listed this under Humor or just News? I was not sure so played it safe. Note the closing paragraph:
"People were screaming and running," Prattville cheerleader Cherish Cartee said. "Girls lost their cell phones. Keys got lost. It's something I will never forget."
I'm speechless. And that's not easy to do with me.

Link here: article in question
"It's one thing to ask couples how often their arguments escalate to physical attack. It's another to actually watch them go at it. Deborah Capaldi has. A senior scientist at Eugene's Oregon Social Learning Center, Capaldi has spent hours watching young couples tackle problem-solving exercises in the center's lab assessment rooms.
To the surprise of Capaldi and her colleagues, a partner would sometimes lash out in the midst of debating how to solve the problem.
Deborah Capaldi researches how young women initiate physical aggression against a partner. Who were the primary initiators of such slaps, pokes and kicks?"

AngryMan writes "The BBC does it again. The evil Patriarchy has come up with another cunning way to harm women, and that's pregnancy discrimination.
"Around 30,000 women a year are sacked or made redundant or leave their jobs due to pregnancy discrimination, research suggests....many businesses do face genuine challenges in managing pregnancy"
What, you mean they can't afford to keep an employee on full salary for a year without doing any work, while the other employees (mainly men) have to do extra work to cover for them? How unreasonable."

On January 28, 1993, domestic violence advocates threw the long bomb, which in turn set up the winning touchdown.
The long bomb, of course, was the infamous press conference, held three days before the Super Bowl, which claimed that domestic violence increased 40% after men watched professional football games. And the winning touchdown was passage of the first Violence Against Women Act in 1994.

chicago joe writes "The makers of "Degree for Men" deodorant are launching a new ad campaign for their product during the second quarter of the Super Bowl game.
The commercial is titled "Mama's boy" and it stars action figures that will be sold on the internet. The other commercials to follow will feature the "Wuss" and the "Suck up". The company will eventually sell the dolls seen in the commercials through the internet after the initial Super Bowl spot. They will be titled the "In-Action Heroes" because a company spokesperson said, "Their determination is to avoid risk and remain inactive". They claim this is supposed to motivate men to take risks. Give me a break! Of course they think it is quite creative and funny.
If you Google "Degree for Men", you can read it for yourselves. Look for the link that says "New Degree(R) for Men begins blitz"."

But the silver lining is that we're starting to make progress in removing these misandric ads, althought there's still a way to go. And Mensactivism.org and StandYourGround.com were mentioned in this article as well! Everyone who sent notice of misandric ads to this site can be proud.

Clancy writes " More bad news for Hugo Schwyzer By PAUL ROBBINS, Ph.D.
This has to be one of the best Op/Eds I've ever read. Paul Robbins finds the head of the nail and hammers it over and over....
I think he just became one of my favorite writers. Don't miss this."
