federico writes "Ok, this is funny. It's in an Italian newspaper.
I'm not going to translate the all article but basically this seems to be the story:
She was a model, then she met this billonare guy, and she decide to leave her "job" and be with him. So, of course, she started to use HIS money, HIS credit cards and so on and on spending up to 50/60,000 Euros a NIGHT!

EvilPundit writes "A group of male College Republicans at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island has had its mascot penis hauled off and locked away soon after group members lampooned the 'V-Day' celebration that has become popular on American campuses. Lots of links, including pictures, here."

Dittohd writes "I have a solution to this problem of women's housework being worth so much and them not being paid. All women who have husbands who are paid less than the $131,000 computed worth of women's childcare and housework should go out into the workforce and earn that money. We stupid, lowly paid men should be required by law, in these cases, to stay home. I wonder how much our worth would be computed at once we started staying home with our children?"

Rob writes "When will some men get some self respect? This article tells of a Spanish male "inventor" who wanted to: "finish with macho man from the ice age who doesn't do anything around the house except drink beers". Based on fingerprint technology, it prevents the same person starting the washing machine twice in a row. Perhaps his next invention could be for the lawn mower start button, the garage door, the electric drill or some other hugely assumptive piece of stereotyping?"
Ed. note: It's hard to know what to list this one under. Maybe a new topic called "Self-Hating Men/Manholes" is needed!

Do my eyes deceive me? Is it real? The Washington Post actually printed this, and in a Sunday edition no less! But alas, the tone is characteristically sympathetic to the arsonist, who is (not so) coincidentally, female. Get this from the article:
Danahey reminded Brown of his only child. He could easily imagine his free-spirited son trapped in a similar situation, another victim of impulse.
"Victim of impulse"? If it had been his son, you can be sure the author would not be using language like that to describe him!
I also find it real strange that this story appears in their "Style" section.

It seems not just inconsiderate brides-to-be can be the only women running off to Vegas! USA Today covers the trend of women-only getaways, some including week-long hotel discounts (for women only) and no-men-allowed package deals, with trips to Chippendales-like strip clubs too!

Ray writes "This is a shocking expose', but one that is truly worth reading Arrest reveals the true Barbara Dehl .
"How is it that former Spirit of Idaho recipient Barbara Dehl is behind bars today following charges of murder, kidnapping and drug trafficking?" "People are hurt because they feel they have now lost a voice on domestic violence. Don't look at this as "losing a voice," but as a lesson on whose voice we listen to.""

Doesn't this story really just make you cringe? Sorry to say I predict he won't get very far in the case, if previous such matters are any indicator.

Steven Brown writes " No discrimination going on here, no way...
Girls will get hands-on experience of work while those potential rapists sometimes known as boys will get a dose of this claptrap:
"learn about violence prevention and how to be allies to the girls and women in their lives"
Unbelievable..."

Indiana Jones writes "Finally some sense have been knocked into feminist-influenced Scandivanian judges. This is a major blow for radical feminist in Norway, but not far enough. Norway proposed that 40% of ALL its corporate employees must be women by 2007, right now its 11%. So basically from now on, all they are going to hire is women? What about all the male graduates?"
Ed. note: Re the 40% comment, a story is here. The article date is Aug. 8, 2002, however. Can anyone supply an update on this issue? Also, it seems as if the law in question seeks a 40% rate of women as corporate *directors*, not employees as mentioned in the submitted text.

Tom writes "Great news! A huge billboard on I-95 calling for VAWA to serve male victims is up and running. Two more have been placed at the amtrak station in Wilmington, Delaware. It is the work of a group called Safe Homes for Children and Families Coalition (SHCFC) and can be found at http://www.vawa4all.org. Pictures of the billboards can be seen here This group is interested in helping others get DV billboards running around the country. If you are interested contact them. If you can help out give them a hand and donate a buck or two through their paypal donate button. These guys are on the front lines doing great work!"
