Misantric article attacks "Men and Women Against Domestic Violence"; needs responses

Via Marc A. This misandrist feminist article cites crime data instead of sociological data to attack the billboard put up by fair-minded anti-DV advocates. If you want to respond with a letter to the editor, these are the email addresses I used, though I'm not sure whether they're all good: mailreadersvoice-at-wvgazette.com, letters-at-wvgazette.com, editor-at-wvgazette.com

Marc

Excerpt:

'Domestic violence occurs within a broad spectrum of relationships, but this billboard clearly portrays an unfair depiction of women as typical perpetrators of domestic violence homicides. Women killing their male partners are especially rare. The U.S. Department of Justice cites that only 3 percent of male murder victims were killed by an intimate partner.

Movement in Sweden to Ban “Sexist” Ads

Story here. Excerpt:

"Sweden, considered a world leader in gender equality, should ban all advertising that could be considered sexist, according to a new government-commissioned report that suggests the creation of a law "banning advertising containing sexist content." Sexist advertising is defined as any message distributed "with a commercial aim" that can be "construed as offensive to women or men."

Imagine the possibilities for banning! No more feminine hygiene commercials, and no more beer ads either! This law will never fly, not even in Sweden, the world's most celebrated gynocracy.

And, who knew that advertising "has a commercial aim?"

Czech Fathers Protest

There is growing impatience all over the world. This Czech news story seems to be the beginning there.

There does seem to be attempt to demonize and silence. Echoes of Gandhi who started the civil disobedience movement in 1921-24 and 1931-36 by saying "no taxes without representation."

Our protests, though well attended, seem tame in comparison what Czech fathers have achieved. Excerpt:

"Prague- Labour and Social Affairs Minister Petr Necas fiercely criticised the members of the K213 group, associating divorced fathers who are banned from seeing their children, who have been blocking the entrance of the child protection office, he told journalists today.

Documentary Exposes Family Court Corruption in America

View the four shocking trailers now! To help this documentary reach the masses please read how you can help. From the site:

"Support? System Down. View the shocking trailers of this documentary which exposes the corruption of family court systems throughout America. Family Courts compared to the mafia? Fathers killing themselves because they were forced by family court systems to go from a full-time father to seeing their children only 4-6 days a month. This is court sponsored child abuse!"

"States get tough on classroom sexual misconduct"

Story here. We'll see just how tough they get. Excerpt:

'Heeding a steady drumbeat of sexual misconduct cases involving teachers, at least 15 states are now considering stronger oversight and tougher punishment for educators who take advantage of their students.

Lawmakers say they are concerned about an increasingly well-documented phenomenon: While the vast majority of America's teachers are committed professionals, there also is a persistent problem with sexual misconduct in U.S. schools.

When abuse happens, administrators too often fail to let others know about it, and too many legal loopholes let offenders stay in the classroom.'

Tell Reviews and Everyone Else What You Think About TEETH

TEETH opens this weekend, and several critics seem to be relishing the male-genital-mutilation revenge story. I think it would be beneficial to hit these people hard and let them know what we think. Below are some reviews (where you might be able to leave a comment and/or send a letter to the editor), and where it was available I've included the reviewer's e-mail address.

Dad Fights to Circumsize Son Against Mom’s Wishes

Story here. Excerpt:

"The wishes of a 12-year-old boy should be considered in a dispute between his divorced parents about whether he should be circumcised, the Oregon Supreme Court ruled Friday.
The father, James Boldt, converted to Judaism in 2004 and wants the boy to be circumcised as part of the faith. The mother, Lia Boldt, appealed to the high court, saying the operation could harm her son physically and psychologically.

The state Supreme Court ruled that earlier court decisions failed to determine whether the boy wanted the circumcision, as his father contended, or opposed it, as his mother alleged.

The Supreme Court sent the case back to the trial court to answer that question.

If the trial court finds the child agrees to be circumcised, the Supreme Court said, it should deny the mother's requests. But if the trial court finds the child opposes the circumcision, the court has to determine if it will affect the father's ability to care for the child."

Malaysia Islamic State to Enforce Separate Lines for Women, Men at Supermarkets

Story here. Excerpt:

"Authorities in the northern state of Kelantan — governed by the opposition Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party — will fine supermarkets and shops if they let men and women use the same lines at checkout counters, said party spokesman Anual Bakri Haron.

Chief Minister Nik Aziz Nik Mat has called for stricter enforcement "to safeguard the ladies" from being harassed and to avoid close proximity between opposite sexes while lining up to buy groceries, Anual said. "He wants the enforcement to be looked into thoroughly."

England: "White Men Are Banned"

Story here. Excerpt:

"FIRE chiefs were accused last night of discrimination by trying to ban white men from joining up.

They were condemned after barring white males from recruitment sessions in an attempt to boost ethnic minority and women applicants.

The bosses held five open days to attract new recruits – with four strictly limited to either women, ethnic minorities or both. They insisted they had acted lawfully. But the move sparked outrage among MPs, serving firefighters and racial equality groups."

Readers respond to "Study finds women a violent as men" in universtity newspaper

Via Marc A.:

On 12/6, the campus newspaper at Webster University in Missouri printed an article titled Study finds women as violent as men that quoted NCFM-LA extensively.

Today the newspaper printed 5 letters in response to the article. All of them are on our side except for one misandric feminist who didn't dispute the DV stats but instead ranted on with the usual garbage about patriarchy and who even attacks NCFM as "misogynistic" but provides no backing for that at all. Comments about the letters can be read and posted as well.

5-year-old boy handcuffed, taken to psych ward for misbehaving

Story here. Excerpt:

'A 5-year-old boy was handcuffed and hauled off to a psych ward for misbehaving in kindergarten - but the tot's parents say NYPD school safety agents are the ones who need their heads examined.

His mom and a school source said Dennis threw a tantrum inside the Ridgewood school at 11 a.m. on Jan. 17.

Dennis was taken to the principal's office, where he apparently knocked items off a desk.

Rather than calling the boy's parents, a school safety agent cuffed the boy's small hands behind his back using metal restraints, the school source said."

When baby-sitter Sandy Ortiz arrived, Dennis was still handcuffed, she said. School safety agents also were holding his elbows even though the boy was calm, Ortiz said. Dennis is about 4-feet-3 and weighs 68 pounds.

"I hugged him. I said, 'OK, release the cuffs, I'm taking him,'" she recalled. "They told me, 'No, Miss. You're not taking him anywhere.'
