Karla Homolka Teale's 'pact with the devil'

Essay here. Excerpt:

'As we saw in the aftermath of the Moors Murders, it’s not unknown for gender co-operation between malefactors to break down when they’re threatened with a police enquiry, with the massive sanctions of the law brought to bear. Often an enthusiastic partnership is refuted by the female partner at the last. She hastens to turn Queen’s evidence or People’s evidence and lay the lion’s share of the blame at the feet of her ‘dominant’ colleague. Is it the basically law-abiding nature of women that causes this late change of mind, or is it fear of being faced with the consequence of former actions? Is it rectitude or timidity?

The Male Brain: What's Really Going On in There

Article here

It was just a matter of time until a (biased) female journalist got her hands on the recent brain science, and then put an anti-male/pro-female spin on it.

Excerpt:

'The more science learns about how men are different from us (right down to the structure of their brains), the more we find ourselves hoping it will finally explain some age-old mysteries. For instance:

Why do men keep their cars spotless but live like pigs at home—while for women it's the other way around?'

'The Breakup' - Bud Light Commercial

Budweiser is already on our boycott list and this new commercial might be their worst. A man and woman are driving in a car and he asks her several times if she's going to break up with him. Eventually she gets so annoyed, she proceeds to open the passenger door and throw the man out of the moving car.

CDC's response to circumcision emails

After sending the CDC an email (discussed here), I received the following reply:

Thank you for your inquiry to CDC-INFO. We are sorry for the delay in responding to your email. A recent high volume of inquiries has slowed our response time. In response to your comments on CDC's male circumcision recommendations, we are pleased to provide you with the following information.

Some recent reports have speculated about the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC's) upcoming public health recommendations on male circumcision for HIV prevention in the United States.

It is important to note that the recommendations are still in development and CDC has made no determination at this time about the final content. CDC is employing a deliberative, evidence-based process for developing the circumcision recommendations, which allows for both external and internal CDC experts to provide input. CDC will also publish draft recommendations for public comment before the content will be finalized.

Hofstra update & feminist response: ignore data, blame victims, divert attention‏

From Marc A.: To no surprise, the Hofstra false accuser will not be prosecuted. And, as expected, the feminist response (below) is to: (1) say false rape claims are rare, and ignore empirical research showing otherwise; (2) say the harm is to "real rape victims" while ignoring the harm to the falsely accused who are the "real victims"; (3) say the lesson to boys is to not act like these 5 boys did (i.e., blame the victims with your moral value judgments, as though *they* did something wrong); and, (4) say the lesson to girls is to "respect yourselves" (another personal value judgment about the sex act that ignores the CRIME committed and the HARM done). UNBELIEVABLE. Please respond to this sexist garbage if you have time. And BTW, Cathy Young did a much more fair and objective article at http://www.newsday.com/opinion/opinion-the-unique-power-of-crying-rape-1.1469444.

UK: Paedophile fears are 'driving male teachers from primary schools'

Article here. Excerpt:

'More than a quarter of state primary schools have no male teachers, partly because they have been deterred from working with young children for fear of being labelled paedophiles, an expert claims.

The result is that thousands of boys are being taught solely by women and have no educational male role models.

The trend is fuelling concerns that a generation of boys is growing up without an authoritative male figure in their lives.
...
'It's a sad comment on society that more men aren't attracted into teaching in primary schools. In part, this is due to concerns in society about paedophilia. Men are receiving the signal that it's more appropriate for them to teach in secondary schools than primary schools.'

The 'feminisation' of the curriculum, which includes an emphasis on coursework rather than 'sudden death' exams, is already believed to be responsible for a widening gender gap at secondary level.'

DNA Results Cast Doubt On Sex Assault Case

Story here.

This has all the makings of a false rape accusation. I found the article buried in my hard copy of the L.A. Times; and, 'surprise, surprise', it was not referenced on their home page for today - I had to dig for it.

Excerpt:

'The victim also described her attacker as 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, clean-shaven with dark brown eyes. Reynolds [the accused] is 5-foot-7, 140 pounds, has blue eyes and was not clean-shaven at the time, according to the defense documents.
...

The victim told police that her attacker licked her navel area, according to court documents. But the state's crime lab found that the only DNA consistent with saliva in the woman's navel area belonged to her.

Other male DNA evidence found on the student's stomach was inconsistent with saliva, the court papers state.'

U.K. Court: Teacher May See 'Student Lover', 15, After Jail Time

Story here. Excerpt:

'In a controversial ruling, a British judge declined to forbid contact between a music teacher and the 15-year-old pupil with whom she’d had an affair.

A Sept. 22 article in the U.K. newspaper The Times reported that 26-year-old music teacher Helen Goddard was sentenced to a 15 month prison term and a decade-long inclusion on a sex offender registry, but that the judge declined to bar the teacher from renewing her relationship with the 15-year-old girl whom she was convicted of having an improper sexual relationship.
...
The prosecution in the case had sought an injunction against Goddard and the girl seeing one another for five years following Goddard’s release from prison.

The judge in the case, Anthony Pitt, refused, saying that to have imposed such a restriction would have been "draconian and cruel" toward the girl, who reportedly remains in love with Goddard.'

Hofstra Rape Accuser To Get Counseling, No Jail

Story here. Excerpt:

'The woman who wrongfully accused five men of a gang rape in a dormitory bathroom of Hofstra University will not face jail time, under an agreement with the Nassau County DA.

The woman behind the false allegations, Hofstra freshman Danmell Ndonye, will have to complete "substantial mental health treatment and lengthy community service requirements" or else face criminal charges, Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice said in a statement.

The 18-year-old, previously described by the prosecutor as "a deeply troubled woman," had claimed she was attacked following a dance party at a Long Island campus nightclub. Four men were arrested and a fifth was being sought when she recanted the story three days later.'

Wendy McElroy: America's debtor prisons for men

Article here. Excerpt:

'I received the following email from a heartbroken and understandably enraged wife whose husband languishes in America's version of a debtor's prison. No one knows how many people -- almost all of them men -- are being held indefinitely on contempt of civil court charges for which they do not have the due process protections offered to those accused of a criminal offense -- no right to a trial, an attorney, an appeal...no due process. Most of these imprisonments are for non-compliance with court ordered child support or alimony. It does not matter if the man is unable to comply due to poverty -- e.g. from losing his job; he can be imprisoned anyway until he "pays up." For an analysis of the plight of these prisoners who languish in jail without ever being arrested, tried or accorded Constitutional rights, please see my article "The Return of Debtor's Prison."'

The Dalai Lama is a Feminist

Article here. Excerpt:

'During his closing remarks at the International Freedom Award ceremony in the Peabody Grand Ballroom today, His Holiness the Dalai Lama called upon women to help create a more compassionate world.

“I call myself a feminist,” said the Dalai Lama. “Isn’t that what you call someone who fights for women’s rights?”

The audience erupted in laughter and applause. The Dalai Lama went to on say that women are more prone to compassion, since they have the responsibility of bearing children.'
