Press release here. Excerpt:

'A total of 145 colleges and universities around the country are currently under investigation by the federal Office for Civil Rights (OCR) for allegations of sex discrimination against male students. On January 7, 2020, OCR opened an investigation against Harvard University for its support of seven sex-discriminatory programs. These programs include the Harvard College Women’s Leadership Awards, Graduate Women in Science and Engineering, and the Women in Global Health LEAD Fellowship. The LEAD Fellowship advertises its program with this uncommon description, “Learn, Engage, Advance, Disrupt.” (1) (OCR Complaint No. 01-19-2203)

Search for murder-spree student who denounced gun violence and "toxic masculinity"

Article here. Insane behavior is driven by insanity, not ideologies. In the final analysis, to kill an otherwise physically unoffending fellow human is an act of insanity. A criminal act rightly punished by jail, etc., but an insane one. Crazy is as crazy does. Excerpt:

'The FBI and police in three states are hunting for a University of Connecticut student suspected in a terrifying three-day crime spree that included two murders, a home-invasion robbery, and a kidnapping.

Article here. Excerpt:

'In what appears to be the largest award of its kind in state history, a University of Minnesota Law School professor has won nearly $1.2 million in his defamation case against a woman whose false rape allegation had him locked up in jail for three weeks and charged with a felony.

Francesco Parisi prevailed Monday in Hennepin County District Court after a bench trial in September. Judge Daniel Moreno ruled that more than $800,000 of the award will go to Parisi for economic losses, along with $325,000 to cover emotional, punitive and reputational damages.'

Hawaii Proposes ‘Feminist Economic Recovery Plan’ Filled With Sex Discrimination

Article here. Excerpt:

'What’s a “feminist economic recovery plan”? Exactly what you would expect: A document full of policies aimed to help women at the expense of men that will ultimately end up hurting women as well.
...
Let’s take a look at just one of those proposals: The $24.80 per hour minimum wage for single mothers. What about single fathers? What about merit? How long until stores start hiring anyone but single mothers to avoid having to pay them so much extra simply based on their circumstances and not their performance or skill?
...
In the actual plan, the minimum wage proposal is touted because it would “work to reduce homelessness, dependency on men, and costs to the state/DHS in terms of benefits to assist women because they comprise the majority of the state’s impoverished.”'

DeVos' reforms draw challenge

Article here. Excerpt:

'Last week, the American Civil Liberties Union, the veteran civil rights organization, filed a lawsuit challenging a newly enacted Trump administration policy change. The twist: The policy change is one that has been praised by numerous civil libertarians as expanding due process for people accused of offenses. The matter at hand is the enforcement of Title IX, the federal statute that bans sex discrimination in education and covers college disciplinary proceedings in cases of sexual harassment and sexual assault.

Title IX consultants tell colleges to break the law in response to new sexual misconduct rules

Article here. Excerpt:

'Colleges that do publish training materials, as the new regulation mandates, will “get a letter from us kindly asking you to make sure they are removed,” he said. The implication is clear: ATIXA will sue colleges for following a legally binding regulation following the notice-and-comment process outlined under the Administrative Procedure Act.

The Office for Civil Rights apparently noticed ATIXA’s claim that its copyright supersedes duly enacted regulation. Without mentioning the group, OCR wrote a blog post Monday reiterating that Title IX training materials, among other “important information,” must be posted on schools’ websites – no exceptions.'

SAVE: Tell Gateway Pundit to Stop Pushing Fake DV Myths

A recent news article falsely scared the public with the title:

“HORROR! Domestic Violence Up 21% in Cities Across the US Due to Covid 19 Lockdowns”. [1]

False. Fake. Untrue.

There is an “assumption” stay-at-home orders are increasing DV, but the evidence SAVE has uncovered over the past 10 weeks shows the contrary. The fake news wants us to believe otherwise.

SAVE has been closely monitoring and analyzing domestic violence-related police reports in 33 large localities around the country.

The accurate results show domestic violence calls were steady or fewer than before coronavirus restrictions were put in place. Only 3 cities reported a “minor or small” increase in the number of calls. Three. [2]

We need your help to dispel the atrocious domestic violence rate increase myths.

Please email the author of this fake news, Jim Hoft at midwestjim@charter.net

Ask him to dig deep and report the truth that DV rates are overall the same or down.

Thank You,
The SAVE Team

Education Department Says Schools Must Post Previously Hidden Title IX Training Materials

Article here. Excerpt:

'For years, accused students have been at a disadvantage due to the hiding of materials used to train Title IX adjudicators. During lawsuits, accused students are rarely able to obtain the training materials that would show supposedly neutral investigators were actually trained to believe accusers and not the accused.

When those materials were obtained, they showed that Title IX investigators tasked with looking into claims of student-on-student sexual assault were trained to believe that women rarely, if ever, lie about sexual assault. Training materials include the misleading and biased statistic that just 2% of sexual assault allegations are false, which would naturally give investigators the idea that they would be wise to believe the accusation no matter what the evidence suggests, because more than nine times out of 10, they would be right.

NFL player sues United Airlines, alleges woman sexually assaulted him on flight

Article here. Excerpt:

'An NFL player said he was sexually harassed and assaulted by a female passenger on a United Airlines flight and accused two flight attendants of failing to properly respond to his complaints.

The incident happened during a late-night plane ride in February from Los Angeles to Newark, New Jersey, according to a lawsuit filed on Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court.
...
The lawsuit says that the men saw the woman taking prescription pills and believe she was intoxicated and under the influence of drugs. Her behavior toward the men "intensified" during the plane ride, according to the lawsuit.
...
"Fearful of the perception of being a male victim and the racial stigma of being a young African American male, John Doe 1 patiently pleaded for assailant to stop and removed her hand," the suit says.

Epidemics on Campus, Real and Imagined

Article here. Excerpt:

'Each academic year, activists and politicians sound the alarm that the nation's college campuses are overrun by an epidemic of sexual violence. Presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden, for example, has warned the nation that "one in five of every one of those young women who is dropped off for that first day of school, before they finish school, will be assaulted in her college years." The numbers are swelling even larger in other surveys, to one in four or even one in three.

Interestingly, despite this so-called epidemic of sexual violence, colleges never made the decision to close. Instead they staffed up student conduct offices and dismantled due process protections for students accused of sexual misconduct in an effort to persuade alleged victims to come forward.

"Believe All Women’ Is a Right-Wing Trap"

Article here. Try not to laugh too hard. Excerpt:

'In fact, “Believe All Women” does have an asterisk: *It’s never been feminist “boilerplate.” What we are witnessing is another instance of the right decrying what it imagines the American women’s movement to be.

Spend some mind-numbing hours tracking the origins of “Believe All Women” on social media sites and news databases — as I did — and you’ll discover how language, like a virus, can mutate overnight. All of a sudden, yesterday’s quotes suffer the insertion of some foreign DNA that makes them easy to weaponize. In this case, that foreign intrusion is a word: “all.”'

The War over Title IX Regulations Will Continue

Article here. Excerpt:

'Last week, Education secretary Betsy DeVos released the new regulations for colleges to follow in Title IX cases. The old rules, decreed in the Obama administration, trampled all over concepts of fairness and due process in order to create a winning political issue for the Democrats. Many people in and out of the legal profession denounced them and early in her tenure, Secretary DeVos suspended them.

In today’s Martin Center article, I write about the ways in which the new rules restore balance in Title IX cases. The one-sided proceedings headed by a single administrator — often a zealot who was determined to nail as many of the accused as possible — are no longer approved.

'Legendary singer David Crosby helped fellow singer Melissa Etheridge's son Beckett Cypher be conceived and now Crosby is speaking out about his death.

Etheridge on Tuesday announced the death of the 21-year-old, who was her son along with her former partner, Julie Cypher.

"My son Beckett, who was just 21, struggled to overcome his addiction and finally succumbed to it today. He will be missed by those who loved him, his family and friends."

Crosby helped Etheridge and Cypher, who split in 2000, conceive Beckett and their daughter Bailey, 23, via sperm donation and artificial insemination.

In a since deleted post, a Twitter user wrote that Crosby was just a donor and, "Like most donors, he played no other part."

"Not true," Crosby posted in response.'
