Hayman fire starter out after 6 years

Story here. The woman who started the Hayman fire spent six years in prison and must now pay restitution in the millions of dollars.
Here's what the fire did:
"The June 2002 blaze torched 138,000 acres, destroyed 133 homes and 466 outbuildings, and forced the evacuation of 8,000 people. Five firefighters were killed as they traveled to Colorado to fight the blaze."
Most are saying the sentence was not long enough. I suspect the "female sentencing discount" myself.

Hmmmm
"Woman gets early release/short sentence"...............
Sounds like the Girly Get Out Clause to me.
I agree
For those who live in Colorado, this is a big issue because of the damage caused by the fire. Six years simply does not long enough for a fire that damaged the forest, burned numerous homes, killed livestock, and 5 firefighters. I suspect if it had been a man, he would still be in jail.
In short, this is an emotional issue for me and others who live here.
I remember the smoke from the fire
Back in June '02 (worst drought year on record) the smoke from the fire was quite thick over the Denver suburbs and ashes from it fell over cars and everything outside. It tooks weeks to put out and burned about 140 square miles in the end. Then the burn area became a flooding hazard afterwards, as severe thunderstorms can occur in the Rockies. What a mess.
It's hard to say whether it would be better for her to be in prison for life, or whether putting her to work restoring the forest for the rest of her life would be more fitting.
these feminist judges
will do whatever it takes to free women in prison.
5 men were killed going to fight the fire. terrible destruction.
men can get more time for not paying their CS. one of the guys who supported
the female bank robbers got more than 2x that sentence. remember? women
pretty much walked for bank robbery few months ago around hotlanna.
isn't there a law about causing others death in the commission
of a felony? they try to make you feel sorry for her.
there is practically NOTHING a woman can do to actually get hard time
(many many years) in feminist controlled countries.
and the denial from the half-men is just pathetic.
A legitimate argument
can be made that restitution is a better way to handle criminal offenses of various kinds.
I still think this was a very light sentence given our current legal framework of punishment--the longer the time, the more serious the crime. Six years does not reflect the damage her deliberate act caused.
same old story
It doesn't seem to matter what and how severe the crime that a woman commits, the results is almost the same over and over again, The woman will get just a fraction of a sentence that a man would get for the same crime. In fact many times the media will try to make the woman offender look like a victim. This "twisted" bullshit has to end.
x-beauty queens t.v. special
caught part of it last nite. unfrakin believeable.
one x-BC traveled hours to try to kill a rival. her rival's dad came to the door,
so she hit him (x-secret service) in the head w/ a hammer. he had the sense
left to tackle her. she had a gun too.
the scumbag (lawyer) kept saying how pretty she was and that pretty young
ladies were somehow incapable of the charges. the jury didn't believe,
guilty of 2 charges of 2nd degree.
all for a waste though. she had that platinum discount card and only got 7 mos.
she probably did what, 30 days total?
i wish that scumbag x-judge on fox would tell us again and again how there is
no difference in sentencing between men and women. and he does it w/ a straight face.
i always get a good laugh when he does that. made me cough up a coke the other day.
