Hillary's Upcoming Religious Scandal

Story here. Hillary Clinton now has some explaining to do about her affiliation with a right-wing religious organization known as "The Family," with ties that go all the way back to the Nazi regime.

This group has reinterpreted Christian doctrine to endorse an elitist philosophy where the politically powerful are the truly annointed ones. Big surprise, huh? A right-wing feminazi in disguise running for President as a Democrat? Excerpt:

'There's a reason why Hillary Clinton has remained relatively silent during the flap over intemperate remarks by Barack Obama's former pastor, Jeremiah Wright. When it comes to unsavory religious affiliations, she's a lot more vulnerable than Obama.

You can find all about it in a widely under-read article in the September 2007 issue of Mother Jones, in which Kathryn Joyce and Jeff Sharlet reported that "through all of her years in Washington, Clinton has been an active participant in conservative Bible study and prayer circles that are part of a secretive Capitol Hill group known as the "Fellowship," aka the Family. But it won't be a secret much longer. Jeff Sharlet's shocking exposé, The Family: The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power will be published in May.'

The substance of this story still has me in utter shock.

i read somewhere months ago that hitlery did her college thesis on some radical marxist. if memory serves it said she really stepped out there in praise of him. wonder why no one is flashing that joker in the deck? college students maybe need some instruction on how not to always put in writing, or on film, youthful expressions and indescretions. they can and do come back to haunt. if the media and her enemies start in on her for her foolish writings i'll bet she will wish she HAD shown her boobs instead. ew, i'll have bad dreams again now. i'm glad she just showed us her mind, if she really did.

imho i just don't see how this woman can win. she has more baggage than a greyhound bus headed South for Spring Break.

Gentlemen,

I'm truly sorry but this just doesn't make sense to me. Hillary Clinton and right wing fundamentalist christians? I can't see it at all. As much as I dislike this individual or any feminist for that matter I can't ascribe something towards an individual simply by reading some article especially coming from Mother Jones. Looking at Hillary and viewing her beliefs, politics, behavior, all appear to oppose fundamentalist values. My head is still shaking as I'm writing this. Hillary and right wing fundamentalist christians? I mean come on...the mix just isn't there. Knowing her shameless will for power,I would not be surprised if this is a ploy coming from her to somehow gain a segment of the christian vote who are still undecided since Obama's kicking her ass with every other group except white females.

I really do not care what Hillary believes but when Obama is getting scorched for his affiliation with a southside church, I think turnabout is fair play.

Hillary was both a feminist and a Marxist in her college years.

I don't really have a problem with that, because most twenty-somethings in elite universities are pretend radicals.

But the issue is .... what does she really believe today?

My answer -- she believes in nothing but trying to get herself elected.

I really despise dishonest Marxists.

The honest ones, I completely respect.

Guys,

I'd be very careful on this one. I can't see Hillary and right wing fundamentalists as bedfellows. Her behavior, politics are just too contrary to swallow this as truth. As anti-feminist as I am, and man how I'd love to see her get zapped after all the stunts she's pulled on Obama with the help of the media, but this seems so much out of the norm for her. Also, coming from "Mother Jones", well that in itself should say something. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if it's Hillary whose behind this just to somehow gain points with a segment of those right wingers since Obama has technically defeated her. Sadly though, Obama concerns me as well, from what I understand he is extremely pro-feminst which doesn't surprise me since he was raised by his mother without his natural father and that may cloud his judgement concerning issues revolving around gender.
