Harvard's Women-Only Hours Makes MSM Reporting

Story here. The report starts out with opinions saying it's wrong, but quickly tuns into an apology and ends with:

'Harvard's policy is no different from commercial gyms that cater partially or even exclusively to women, said Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations.

"The Muslim bashers portray it as the world coming to end, but if women have a couple hours a week to work out in private, I don't see it as a major issue," he said.'

Yeah, it's not so bad. One little building at the end of campus, just for a few hours a week, that's all. And it'll be OK too when black kids say they're uncomfortable in the gym with white kids, then they can get their own hours too. Same for white kids. And gay people. Gay men might be uncomfortable being naked in the men's locker rooms so maybe they need their own. Same for lesbians. And Hispanics. Hell, maybe everyone needs their own little gym with their own private shower and bathroom too, all out of sense of modesty, in the name of religious belief.

Yeah, I can see that. Sure, I understand. And it's just like single-sex gyms too. So what's the harm? Single-sex/single-religion/single-sexual-orientation/single-ethnic group, etc. it's all perfectly fine as long as the group in question wants it. Then it's fine. Sure. And if in granting this request for special times and resources being set aside, and if the community at large has to pay for it, then that's OK too. "Separate but equal" and it's not only OK if the entire campus has to pay for it, but objecting means you are a bigot. So shut up and pay up.

Indeed...

Basically what Matt is describing (perhaps unwittingly), is how fascism sneaks up on society. Nobody notice until it's too late. Especially dumbo psychotherapists who say to their clients "it doesn't do any good to worry" or (sarcastically) "the whole worlds going to hell in a handbasket!"

[Psychotherapists, and most psychologists, are such a pack of losers that I feel it is appropriate to occasionally inject my opinion on them, as it relates to posted topics. After all, not only are they stupid but they're fascists too.]

With every such blatantly sexist step, the number of radical antifeminists in society among males is more and more growing. And the day of total revanche is nearing.

Single men is the only social group benefited from feminism.

Single sex commercial gyms don't ask people they don't allow in to fund them.

That's exactly what I came in here to say. It's amazing that they would bring up commercial gyms that promote sexism. As discriminating as it is, at least only women are supporting it.

Somewhere, somehow Harvard like most big universities gets Federal funding. Therefore, discrimination of this sort is unconstitutional and ILLEGAL! Get a Allah-damn clue Ibrahim!

If it's a woman cop, ask, "You aren't one of those feminist pigs with a hair up her butt, are you?"

I think the gentleman in the article had the best solution. They should have a women only room in the gym. My health club has one, and though it used to erk me a little, it doesn't so much anymore because that room has equipment I wouldn't care to use anyway. Though, I must say I sure am getting sick and tired of women trying to blame us men for them feeling self conscious about their bodies or being too lazy to work out.

When I started out at the gym I was really fat. We're talking 48" waist fat, and yes I was a little embarassed, until one day I thought of the perfect thing to say to anyone i caught making fun of me. I would say "Yeah, I'm out of shape. Why the hell do you think I'm here?" Ironically, no one ever did make fun of me. In fact, I ended up making countless new friends. I'm just glad that I'm not the gender that tries to blame the other gender for not wanting to work out.

In a way it works in men's favor. Scantily clad women who go to the gym so that guys will look at them, can't then complain about it (a la being two-faced), since they have the option of using the special room

I used to be 247 lbs. I went down to 202 lbs. while building muscle and I've built so much new muscle that I'm now 235 lbs. My waist is 40" now. I'm working on trying to get it down to 32".

I would not have come this far if I would have claimed victimization like a self-conscious woman would, claiming that I can't work out because I'm afraid of being gawked at by people. That's just the way it goes. Quite frankly, I'd be happier to see someone out of shape at the gym, then someone who's in shape. It's like Jesus said "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick."
