The obsessed parishioner put a public notice about the 37-year-old priest in a local newspaper and wrote to his superiors in the Roman Catholic Church."
Burston denied harassment but was convicted by magistrates in Coventry.

It's interesting how this article and the accompanying comments are proof of a double standard. I left this comment:
It's interesting because people don't seem to be too outraged at this. Let's imagine a man was hitting on a nun in the same fashion. The poor guy would be stigmatized for life. It seems this woman is being made somewhat of a celebrity, and people are trying to justify her actions. I am not one of these people. What she did was wrong, and I'm glad she's being punished.
