RADAR ALERT: Randy Moss's "Trial by Rumor" and the Patriot's Super Bowl Loss

Just as the New England Patriots were looking to cap off a perfect season, Boston Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss was hit with a claim of "serious injury." The allegation made by Rachelle Washington over an alleged altercation on January 6, 2008.

Washington is an old paramour of Moss's who was unemployed and behind in her rent payments. Reports suggest that Washington had a soft-tissue injury to her finger, but how it occurred remains a mystery. Hospital X-rays were negative.

A temporary restraining order was quickly entered against Moss.

According to Moss' agent, attorney David K. McGill demanded a $500,000 payment and threatened to reveal "lots of dirt" about Moss if the money was not paid by January 11th. McGill has refused interviews and has not explained the specifics of the allegations.

Jane Doe, Inc., the Massachusetts Coalition Against Domestic Violence, demanded the benching of Randy Moss for the AFC Championship game, pending a January 28th hearing. Jane Doe claimed, without evidence, that this is the "common protocol" used by employers. The January 28th hearing was postponed by agreement of the parties
until March.

In a January 17th interview, a distraught Moss said the woman was hurt by accident and called the allegation "false."

According to the Boston Globe, Moss was "mad at this situation of extortion." He claimed Washington was seeking "six figures" to keep the alleged battery "hushed."

For the season, Moss easily led the Patriots with 1,493 yards and an average of 15.2 yards per pass. But the pressure on Moss appeared to have caused a profound effect on his game performance.

For the AFC championship, "Randy Moss was a non-factor for the second straight game and the highest-scoring team in NFL history sputtered all afternoon," according to the Associated Press report.

Two weeks later, Moss headed to Super Bowl XLII with a "black cloud" hanging over his head: "I brought it to Coach and said, 'Look, Coach, I'm being threatened to do something that I have no idea of what I need to be doing.'"

During the Super Bowl, Moss caught only one pass. The stunned Patriots lost 14-17 to the New York Giants.

Had Moss not been distracted by the allegation of partner violence, Super Bowl XLII might well have turned out differently.

Sports fans must call for sensible reforms of domestic violence laws. We cannot permit extortion and trial-by-rumor to destroy the careers of athletes and to sway the outcomes of games.

We urge you to call your local radio sports shows and write letters to your local newspapers emphasizing that:

  1. There is no evidence to date that Randy Moss abused Rachelle
    Washington.
  2. The combination of pressures on Randy Moss impaired his focus
and playability for Super Bowl XLII.
  3. The outcome of Super Bowl XLII may have been thrown by the
    domestic violence industry.

This is profoundly insightful. The man-haters in the mainstream d.v. industry have always hated football, especially the Super Bowl. All one has to do to see abundant evidence of that hatred is Google Super Bowl Sunday Myth.

evil has a way of sticking to everything. they pervert everything they touch.
no good can ever come from feminists. you go girl.

Feminism is the plight which is brought by females who are made to believe they've been treated wrongly, while they've actually been given preferential treatment. Thus, they naturally attack everything male. Be it football, video games (as Xbox Live has shown us), wrestling, whatever. Women seem to hate it when something is mainly for men. Like an opportunistic whore of an ex-wife trying to take allimony from her ex-husband, feminists feel they deserve to have a stake in everything that is masculine. It's like a reverse Midas touch if you will. I wish these spoiled bitches would just grow up already.

Women are the ones that have to "dominate" everything they get involved with. They must control and manipulate everything, especially if it is masculine.

Men just enjoy their hobbies. They do it to have fun and they have great team spirit.

That's the difference between why men do things such as football, video games and wrestling, etc and why women do them. Take the video game example given -- via Xtrnl -- above; here's a line from the "GamerChix" webpage that is very telling "Xbox GamerchiX don't talk trash about other women. Ever. When women stop hating on each other … we will rule the world!"

Source: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/personality/trixie/gamerchix/default.htm

Now tell me gentlemen; what the hell does being good at video games have to do with ruling the world? That line has nothing to do with video games and everything to do with domination. How much of an ego-maniac --- and complete idiot -- must a woman be in order to think about ruling the world while playing an XBOX LIVE game? Those few sentences(quoted above) show what these "girls" really come to what they call "male-dominated" pasttimes for; to dominate and thus get more attention not to get along and enjoy the hobby. It's only "male-centric" because women want nothing to do with these things for the most part till they figure there are some boys/men to steal attention from or ruin it for.

I also saw an episode of MADE where a girl was learning to skateboard. Guess what she couldn't skate for shit but the boys still welcomed her with open arms and even told her there are many girls that skate. Her female friends however chastised her for wanting to be a skater and supposedly not wanting to be "pretty like them." Once she met up with the female skaters -- who couldn't skate -- she asked how they got along with the boys and where the boys said positive things about the girls here is what the girls said about the boys "Oh yeah we can best them. They know it's coming. We're taking over!"

When girls enter these forms of entertainment it's usually to catch the eye of boys and/or aggravate them. There is no sense of sportsmanship, just as when they enter a relationship there is usually no sense of equality. Girls are for the most part like a make-up wearing wolfpack with a combined IQ of 4.

Girls -- and women -- are for the most part troublemakers and they are very juvenile. They've just become so good at it that they rarely get caught.

Mr. Reality's new story - Sir Alan: Why I have to think twice before employing a woman

I think MrReality is onto something interesting with the "attention whore" theory.

Because what is feminism about anymore?

Women have achieved more than equality in education, career opportunities, control of income, medical care, legal protections, life expectancy, etc.

What is left to be discovered that women are being deprived of today?

Ah, I think I know! It is that men still have the option to not pay ATTENTION to women 24 x 7!

So, feminism lingers as this kind of pitiful relic of alleged oppressions that no longer exist, mainly as a way for women to keep the spotlight on themselves.

Most divorces are filed by women, and the main reason is typically because "he ignored my needs."

Telling, eh?

Forget fairer, women are the needier sex. You guys are bang on. The main complaint women have these days is being "ignored", and "neglected". It's funny how women who cheat on their husbands are so quick to pull that out as an excuse, instead of the real reason "I decided to act like a stupid slut". Sadly, with role models like Paris Hilton, and Hannah Montanna influencing the next generation of females, it's bound to just get worse.
