Toxins 'cause defects for future generations'

Article here. Excerpt:

"Men who smoke, drink heavily or are exposed to pesticides while trying for a baby could harm not only their baby but future generations of offspring too, scientists say...

..."They said traditional assumptions that the health of fathers was less important than that of mothers in determining how healthy their babies would be should be revised.

Dr Cynthia Daniels of Rutgers University, said: "If I were a young man I would not drink heavily and I would not be smoking two packs of cigarettes per day while trying to conceive a child.

"Studies have shown significant associations between male toxic exposures and increased rates of infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth and childhood health problems."

Dumbhead feminists are trying to convince that producing spermatozoa has equally important influence on the child health as both producing egg cells and CARRYING EMBRYO FOR NINE MONTHS IN WOMAN'S UTERUS. Very awkward attempt to shift the responsibility for growing number of children with abnormalities born by smoking and drinking women.

The Artificial Womb is the only way to save the humanity from degeneration.

It's generally accepted that, pertaining to reproduction, it's much more important for a woman to avoid toxins than a man. This is because there are toxins that directly affect both eggs and sperm alike. However, while men constantly produce sperm throughout their lives, women do not produce new eggs. So genetic defections among sperm are non-permanent, while genetic defections among eggs are.

It's all pretty interesting stuff. We were actually talking about the subject of toxins and reproductive issues just the other day in my Industrial Hygiene class.

I don't think this particular article is an evil fembot plot to put it all on men. It's well-established and broadly-accepted that the environment of the mother has a profound effect on her ability to carry to term and the health of the baby. I don't think anyone is trying to deny that. It's just that for a lot of people, they don't think a man's health matters that much (aside from sperm count and motility) when it comes to making babies. But this article is saying it does. That makes sense given that sperm cells are created from the stuff in a man's body, so what he eats, breaths, feels, consumes, all will affect production in many ways, including genetic propagation to the sperm cells.

I think it's a good idea for men seeking to spin off a child process :), though these days I wouldn't recommend it to a man to do so given the risks involved, to pay attention to their health and lifestyle habits before conception (and after). Men's health in general we know needs to come a lot further and there are lifestyle choice issues that rest in the hands of the individual that make big differences. The problem with our society and men's health though is that while these same lifestyle issues exist for women, governments and individuals seem to be a lot more aggressive about outreach and public education (and funding) or women's health issues and concerns while men's health takes a distant second (or third, 4th, 5th, etc.) in the priority list. Women are just plain more valuable than men, or so you'd think looking at the long, long lists of women's health projects and initiatives vs. those for men.

They come to realizing that the more money they spend on women, the more adverse effects they get as a result. They increase the amount of money spent on women's health, and statistics show that the number of defective children born by women is constantly growing. So the "greater value of women" (at least in reproduction issues, as compared to the Artificial Womb) is going to be reconsidered.

...in order to "create" more defects is what you're saying? Defective women creating defective babies. Interesting. You know this may go back to how scientists found out that the X chromosome can't repair itself and can only do so by swapping genetic material with another X chromosome(i.e. Genetic Recombination). Whereas the Y chromosome is actually a self-sufficient gene capable of repairing itself.

I remember reading ridiculous statements from women bashing men saying "we" were defective. Of course this claim was easily debunked by non-biased scientists since it was based on pro-female ideology and not facts. Males are further evolved than females and we drive evolution.

It seems more and more that this war women started is with biology itself.

I find it interesting how an article like this pops up claiming that a man's ability to produce healthy sperm is vital, yet at the same time we're expected to laugh when a man takes a blow to the very part of the body which produces sperm. It seems rather ironic, and hypocritical. Though, it really shouldn't come as a surprise. Of course many toxins will affect sperm. After all, toxins usually gather in the soft tissues i.e. testicles. I've heard of studies done with rats which proved that a lot of alcohol has an adverse affect on males trying to conceive. This is just phase two of that experiment. They've now included other chemicals besides just alchohol. I hope more articles like this pop up. If we can convince people that a man's health is just as important as a woman's when it comes to creating new lives, perhaps men's health will actually matter to society.
