Custody battle continues for Kelsey Peterson

This is an update about the woman who abducted a 13 year old boy and fled to Mexico. A custody battle has developed between the biological father and Peterson's parents. Excerpt:

'In late November, 25–year–old Kelsey Peterson pled not guilty to a charge of crossing a border to have sex with a minor.

Now Peterson's former boyfriend William Long is fighting to gain custody of the couple's 8–year–old daughter.

"He really feels that they have an established relationship and that at this time that would be the best thing for his daughter," said Attorney Jason Ossian.'

Peterson would be locked away for at least 15 years for child molestation and full custody of the 8 year old daughter would be granted to the other parent. But of course, since Kelsey Peterson is a woman, she'll probably just get a slap on the wrist. Though, I do hope that custody is granted to Long. He's clearly a better parent than Peterson.
