Update to this story is here. Excerpt:
'ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A stripper-turned-soccer-mom accused of borrowing from a movie plot to kill her fiancé for money was convicted Monday of first-degree murder.
...
“This person manipulated the circumstances with her guile and deception,” prosecutor Pat Gullufsen had told the Superior Court jury. “All she needed was someone to kill him.”'
We'll see in January what sort of time she gets.

Killing a man is still a
Killing a man is still a crime in Alaska?

Yes, its still illegal. The punishment is about the same for fishing without a licence.
They must let people get off
They must let people get off easy for fishing without a license, then.
I guess we can plan on
I guess we can plan on Judicial Activism (i.e. the British Nanny case), a governors pardon / reduced sentence, or the bit** being released on bond while the case is appealed.

I just stopped by the CourtTV message board, where I'm not a member but occasionally browse.
They're talking about this stuff the same way that we are. No kidding.

I visit there alot, I have been banned many times from CourtTV but I still browse. It is a feminist playground.
Let me tell you what I see there. I see women doing what women do best, gossiping and making emotional judgements.
Go to their Child Abuse forum, look at the list of topics, most are women abusing/killing their children, not men. Yet, these people rarely touch on that GLARING fact.
They are good about calling for cruel and unusual punishment of both men and women though. Goes to show you why women can never be fair leaders. If it were up to them, the government would have the power to take away reproductive rights for women (men already have none). They often call for vigilante justice (put him/her into an angry crowd).
They are all about the "for the children" craze, the propoganda was very effective on them.

I love George Carlin's
I love George Carlin's routine about child-worship.
About the cruel and unusual punishments, the Supreme Court really needs to step in and crush these irrational, unworkable policies, that basically force sex offenders to re-offend by denying them any chance to return to society, while not doing anything about other offenders, including violent criminals who are more dangerous than they are. (And I'm not taking into account the large number of parolees who were never guilty of anything to begin with.)
For example, why aren't arsonists on the offender database? They don't want their kids molested, but they want them burned to death?
