Story and video here. Excerpt:
'St. Petersburg, Florida - Police arrested 34-year-old Karen Barber and her 15-year-old daughter each on one count of simple battery.
...
Surveillance video shows what happened when Barber, wearing a red shirt, got on the bus. She confronted a 13-year-old boy who had allegedly punched her 12-year-old son on the bus the day before.
Proffitt says it appeared Barber was about to leave the school bus but then she turned back to the boy and poked him in the forehead.
The tape shows Barber also slapped the boy on the left side of his face.'

If a man is holding his daughter's hand we view that..
..with suspicion. If two overweight black women with attitudes get on the bus and slap a young black boy they don't seem to draw a public outrage.

The Women are at Fault by Matthias Matussek
Physical violence especially by women....
.... is not viewed by our society as harmful in any way shape or form. Not matter how badly a woman injures some one, it's not viewed as causing lasting emotional damage.
However, our society is utterly obsessed with sex and it's 'evils' and pretty much views sex as the worst possible thing one person can do to another and that if children are in any way at all exposed to the pure evil that society seems to believe sex is, then they are worse then dead because their soul is destroyed and all hope is lost for them having any kind of a life. It's all utter nonsense of course, but that's never stopped any society from holding onto ridiculous notions like that. Never mind the fact that nearly 100% of the harm caused by most childhood experiences with human sexuality are caused not by the experience but rather by the stigma attached to such experiences by society. I know it would harm the hell out of me if my uncle got arrested tomorrow for the fact that when I was 8 me and my cousin found his stash of porn...
It's all about how society views things.
Very true Paragon. A modern society that still likes to...
....burn men at the stake.
