Female Ex-astronaut planning insanity defense

... she must be insane. Oh, and an insane woman deserves nothing less then complete freedom to do as she pleases. A man ever attempts something like what she did and he'd already be in prison and the attempted murder charge would never have been dropped.

She'll get less punishment then Michael Vick.

And tonight (Aug 28) on the O'Reilly Factor, the show, hosted by guest host Michelle Malkin, ran a previously aired segment in which O'Reilly interviewed a man who had spent time at NASA with the astronauts and was disturbed by the psychological pressure they are under, with all the competition, stress, and restrictions, etc. During the interview, O'Reilly seemed concerned about the stress and pressure that might drive an astronaut to commit acts such as those perpetrated by Lisa Nowak.

I wondered how sympathetic O'Reilly and others would be if Lisa Nowak had been Larry Nowak. The media's treatment, the public reaction, and the legal outcome would have been different to say the least. To his credit, O'Reilly has come down hard on female teachers who commit statutory rape. Unfortunately, he seems to go kind of soft on women who murder their children and spouses, and female astronauts who attempt to abduct and murder their romantic rivals.

How on earth could NASA ever contemplate sending a woman like this into space? Can you imagine what might happen if she were out there when she decided to have a sudden bout of "temporary insanity"? How would you like the idea of being her colleague, cooped up in a tiny capsule with no means of escape maybe for days, alongside a cunning, demented woman with all kinds of crazy, vindictive thoughts running through her cooked brain? And remember, you cannot lay a finger on her because she is a precious, inviolate woman and there will be TV cameras recording your every move. Try to restrain her, and the world will witness your act of violent abuse against a protected species; so you will be in jail almost before your feet touch down on mother earth.

Scary.

If she has all these illnesses, even if just recently developed or worsened, they still should have been able to screen her out before she became an astronaut. These illnesses don't just come out of thin air, unless maybe if there is a change in brain chemistry, like due to drugs or an organic disorder.

If you ask me what her and her Lawyer are trying to say over all is that the NASA screening process is nothing more than a huge joke. They can not stop one women with so many disorders from getting all the way to becoming an astronaut, then I guess any crazy monkey can do it right?! I guess all these years of the American space program claiming to put each candidate to the rigors of testing and training were all a lie, a cover up. All along we have been sending under qualified, crazy nutjobs into space. I never believed flying a multi-million dollar space craft was all that hard anyways.

Don't overlook the necessity of fulfilling quotas. Maybe if the only women who volunteer to train as astronauts are all kooks, NASA is still obliged to take them on for the simple reason that they are female and it needs to keep the numbers up. Being demented is no barrier to advancement if you are in possession of that all-important pussy pass. It unlocks every door.

Yet why do I KNOW that she got this job simply because she was a woman and some young MAN -- who applied for the job -- is sitting somewhere mad as hell wondering why they just didn't pick HIM in the first place.

Instead of picking a man that knows what he is doing they pick some crazy ass bitch. Uh oh I said bitch they MAY be coming to arrest me now for "breaking the law."
