Lincoln Memorial Protest Covered by UK Media, not US
Submitted by Matt on Sun, 2007-08-19 19:38
Curious, huh? The Lincoln Memorial protesters are covered in the UK MSM but not in the US. Wonder why? Story here. Excerpt:
'Two British Fathers 4 Justice activists were arrested at gunpoint by a Swat team at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC, said the campaign founder.
A support crew of four were also held as the memorial was evacuated by US authorities.
British activists Jolly Stanesby and Mike Downes organised and performed the protest, with support by US colleagues on the ground, a Fathers 4 Justice spokesman said.'
Go ahead, Google "Fathers 4 Justice Lincoln Memorial" and see if you get any US MSM coverage. Not a single hit.

Where on Fox?
Just searched Foxnews.com-- it's not there.
I still want to know why there was no MSM coverage?

Sorry Matt, I'm still wondering why there's no U.S. coverage of that. I could find no answer to that in the story. Did I miss something? Why was there no U.S. MSM coverage?
google it under news....many fox outlets are carrying it
but they seem to be picking up reports that originated in the England.
Hmmmm.

All is fair, as I see it
British activists - British coverage. US fathers do not deserve US media attention to this event because no one of them had the courage to do it themselves.

f4j & lack of coverage of MRA news issues
last nite i posted on mnd and asked why there was no news coverage. a couple/three years ago some of us old timers were questioning why some good news stuff about Men's Rights (or the lack of) was not getting any MSN coverage. the scuttlebutt was that the women/fem's at these org's were being very subtle but were threatening to quit, walk out and even sue the men for harassment if these issues were reported. as time has passed this gets to be old hat. it really becomes obvious at times, like now. at least one of us already knew this would get no coverage. weeeooooohhh - spooky huh? if and when they get called on it the excuses will abound. i can tell ya'll those too.
had to type this twice. guess i hit the wrong button. hope it doesn't post twice.
The thing that pisses me off
The thing that pisses me off is when you try to write these stations about why there was nothing covered on these topics you hardly ever will get a response. I remember the days when you wrote a letter to a company you at least got a form letter back acknowledging your existence. Now these feminist run companies and news outlets feel they owe the public no respect/response.
I stopped watching TV a long time ago....

Wish I knew
Still don't know.
no media coverage for superheroes
this is a feminist country. the so called men will do whatever women want. they literally worship women. everyone knows women want what they want, and will do about anything to get it. everybody jokes about how men get taken to the cleaners in divorce court. it's not a secret. they just refuse to talk about it. talk about this subject on a date and it will be your last. bring it up at a party and you will be shunned. even most guys at work are afraid to talk about it. at church they will ask you what woman treated you bad, but get over it. almost all women are in on it. they love to get freebees. the more the better. they are creatures of the moment. they are destroying everything our forefathers fought and died for, and could care less. they have no respect for men.
i read a question and answer forum yesterday where one woman said she was repelled by her husband of many years. what could she do? the answers were very interesting, but another woman commented that men married a long time become feminine, and no woman wants a fem-man she can't respect. finally a truth. some wiser ones are starting to see the long term damage.
the msm is never going to cover MRA topics until it hurts them and they are forced to - like the Duke case forced them to cover false allegations of rape. but still nothing happened to the woman. fraud/sue attempt failed. oh well, no cost to her. SOP. everybody made $$$ on it. a complicated perverted septic and maybe hopeless situation imho.
It is simply increbible that
It is simply increbible that there has been no media coverage in the U.S. Two major monuments were shut down, a swat team called, cameras confiscated, tourists pushed and shoved and yelled at angrily by police, protesters commandeering a national statue and what do we get from our media? Nothing. This is spooky. I could see them covering it on the back page or maybe a mention here or there but an event this big getting zero coverage is very telling. This is more than feminism, this points to the possibility that our government is more totalitarian than we had suspected. I hope I am completely wrong about that.
For real?
"this points to the possibility that our government is more totalitarian than we had suspected."
For real? I don't want to sound like a jerk here or anything but are you new here in the U.S.? We currently face the Bush Clinton dynasty. We here more about our country on over seas news stations than we do from our own every day for years now. The government threatens anyone who speaks out against it with treats of fines, freezing assets, arrest. Our government has pulled the wool over our eyes for decades now. I am glad you are starting to see it none the less. But it is time we all open our eyes to see where our "freedom" has gone. Not just here in Femarica, but all "democratic" lands. The only way this will be resolved is the way our founding fathers resolved issues at hand that could not be resolved in the political arena. And we all know what that means.
