Judge tosses man's lawsuit over ladies' night

Story here. Excerpt:

'Steve Horner's crusade against ladies' nights at bars took a hit Thursday as a Denver County judge tossed his claim that newspaper ads for such promotions violate state civil rights laws.

"Too bad we didn't have an impartial judge," Horner said as Judge Brian Campbell adjourned the proceeding and walked away. "The judge missed a great trial."'

"As the trial ended, Westword Editor Patricia Calhoun said, "I'm running to the ladies room." Turning to Horner, she added, "You don't object, do you?"

This man's righteous fight gets turned into a joke by this condescending twat.

That woman is just plain stupid. The same joke is perfectly applicable to all the countless women's whineings about discrimination.

It should be noted that the lawsuit in question was filed against a newspaper that ran an advertisement for a ladies night at a bar, which also raises a free speech issue. Since the issue of whether or not Ladies Night itself is discriminatory has not yet been adjudicated, I can understand why a lawsuit against a newspaper for advertising an activity that is currently legal would be thrown out.

Consequently, according to the article the guy also filed lawsuits against five bars.

It also sounded like the judge who dismissed the case was a lower judge and that the issue involved a matter of law since facts do not seem to be at issue. In that case, the decision could probably be easily appealed to an appellate court.

Of course not, because men have a separate, but equal bathroom facility. In case of "ladies night," men have neither separate and/or equal consideration.

It's okay with me if you go to the bathroom as long as you pay the $5 entrance fee. Men are allowed to go into their bathroom for free though.

In my younger days I worked in a mall food court and part of my job was cleaning the bathrooms. The womens bathroom was at least three times the size of the mens room, had couches, real plants, better tiles, full length mirrors, the works. Before that job I worked at a gift store at a historic site in my area, and I also had to do bathrooms there. Same deal, the womens room was much better appointed and much more spacious. I know, I know, women have more bathroom needs then men, but still, the mens room and the ladies room are definitely not equal at more public places.

Personally, I am perfectly fine with all the added stalls and features in women's public restrooms.

They represent bondage, as far as I'm concerned.

Everyone knows that a woman's "plumbing" is a complicated nightmare.

They have to sit down to pee.

And hope that only pee comes out.

They are completely alienated from their genitals... as the "Vagina Monologues" illustrates.

Don't even look "down there!" should be the sub-title of the play.

Talk about anything else!

The Evil Patriarchy for example!

No man, however oppressed by marriage, live-in female soulmate, or sufferation in a Matriarchal culture, would ever wish to be a woman.

That pretty much says it all.

Obviously, judges can be losers too.

Maybe when his wifey poo divorces his butt he too will realize his true status; doesn't have the legal standing of a hog!

Remember a law degree, despite the high-faluting sound of Jurisprudence Doctorate, is a master's degree.
Judges offer no specific wisdom and experience. They are simply lawyers who couldn't get hired at a law firm.
