'Real roots of crime'

Article here.
An article in the Calgary Sun recently addressed the killing of Ephraim Brown in a unique way. Excerpt:
'A boy named Ephraim Brown was killed recently in Toronto, caught in a crossfire between the vicious thugs who populate large cities. It is a wicked and sad thing.
...
...feminist theory forbids examination of the true roots of crime because it makes them uncomfortable and violates the sacred tenet of their creed, which says men are essentially disposable.'
The author (Ian Robinson) does a really nice job of raising points that no one else is considering in all of this. The knee-jerk reaction is to blame the tool and not look at the root cause.

Once again it is shown that responsible fathers are the key.
I must stress the word "responsible."
There are tons of men that have their sons with them and instead of raising their kid right they go to clubs and act like women. We need men that are not stupid enough to start acting like women with their kids. I know of one guy that uses parental alienation and the very same tactics that women use to exploit money from the mother. Like women he thinks that because he has the child that he is doing something so special even though he teaches the child nothing, drinks like a fish, and just plain acts like a....well a bitch.
That is NOT the kind of man this article is talking about kids need because in that case the kid might as well be with the mother. I pay my respect to men that act like men. This means those men that were never fooled by feminist ideology, the men that could care less about Lindsay Lohan and the dozens of other dumb blondes of Hollywood. The men that don't cave into women everytime they meet them. The men that are not afraid to put a woman in her place when needed.
These are the fathers that the children of today. As Mr. Marc Rudov said we need "No Nonsense Men."
The author hit the nail right on the head. Yet another black man with his head on straight.

Missing the big picture
He's black? I didn't realize he was black. I didn't realize this was a race issue either.
Aside from that... It seems to me that I must agree with you to a point. While fathers are important, it doesn't help if they are twits. At the same time, its important to note there are plenty of women who are not twits.
The way I have always seen the issue of men's rights is that these are *not* gender issues. The only reason we have a problem, and a need for men to stand up, is that these have been made into gender issues over the years.
Youth violence has nothing to do with giving single mothers more money. It's about seeking apropriate parenting for the children, and that means both a mother and a father. It's about ensuring that, in a case where it is not possible for both parents to be present that the child is with the "right parent". That does not mean the mother or the father. That means the one who has their head screwed on straight.
Stupidity transcends borders of gender, sex, and race.
i agree with you
i agree with you there.
however, society's main image of a man isn't anywhere near as "nice" as a woman's.
it's no big surprise this site would attack the story from that angle.
they WILL be happy if the project shows no malicious intent, however.
they're not capricious (at least i like to think so)
Good article, but
I'm not sure why he included this stat...
U.S. figures showed 70% of young offenders of all colours in custody came from fatherless homes as do 43% of prison inmates.
If 43% of prison inmates came from fatherless homes; then 57% had fathers at home...
That's some bad number juggling he's doing there... makes it seem like he's twisting things to make his point... which makes his point less believable.
I'm sure he could have done a better job there...
why some fathers are bad fathers
Some thoughtful comments here about good and bad fathers which I respect. But I have a further idea about the problem of dads who don't act much like they should do towards their children.
I have a theory which I acknowledge I can't prove because as far as I am aware nobody has ever published any meaningful research to point one way or the other. But my belief is that some of the most common reasons for men to act badly towards their children, and that would improve the lot of families and children enormously if they could be eliminated or substantially reduced, are as follows:
1) they are not actually the biological father, and they know it.
2) they suspect that they are not the biological father, but don't know it for sure.
3) they do not doubt that they are the biological father, but never wanted to be - they just got trapped.
You can see that any one of these reasons might naturally make a man resentful towards the mother and also possibly towards the child. They all might be reasons for a man to walk away, or at least not throw himself into fatherhood with any enthusiasm. They also, to a greater or lesser degree, point to the mother as a guilty party, given that she has the ultimate choice of whether to make the man she has sex with (or even not in some cases) the father of her child.
So the lesson for women is that if you want the father to be "responsible" towards your child, then make sure he wants to be a father in the first place, make sure that the person he wants to make a baby with is you, make sure that the child really is his, and make sure he has no good reason to doubt it. None of these should be impossible to achieve. Showing responsibility in your own behaviour might be the best way to have it reciprocated in the behaviour of the man you want as the father of your child.
Yes he is a black author. Move on..
He's black? I didn't realize he was black.
It's quite hard to miss the fact that the author is black when his picture is right there.
I didn't realize this was a race issue either.
I didn't either. I simply stated that the author was another black man with his head on straight. Again this is verified by the pic on the article. You seem to be annoyed at the fact that he is black not I.

Women don't matter in this equation because it is men whom have had their rights removed and whom are ridiculed for being twits daily by the media. Position debunked....next.
The way I have always seen the issue of men's rights is that these are *not* gender issues. The only reason we have a problem, and a need for men to stand up, is that these have been made into gender issues over the years.
We are MEN's rights activists. Male is a gender. Next.

I disagree with the above statement concerning single mothers getting more money from the welfare state. Since women view men as walking ATMs giving them free money makes it more likely that they will have children out of wedlock and no father will be present.
It is about ensuring the child has the best upbringing but this society is making it more about women's issues than children's issues.
Stupidity does transcend all borders...as I have said with my initial comment on bad fathers or did you miss that? However stupidity from women is tolerated and even celebrated as "empowerment" whereas men whether they are guilty or not are constantly under fire.
An observation: It appears not only are you "missing the big picture" but you also seem intent on "making excuses for women." You sound more like a feminist than someone concerned about the loss of men's civil rights. Therefore I will be ignoring any messages from you in the future. Do well.
