On NPR today I heard coverage of this story, and the reporter stated that Nifong could be sentenced to 30 days in jail and a fine.

I hope all three young men choose to sue Nifong in civil court for damages in the multi-millions.

At the very least, that would keep this scumbag tied up in court for several years.

There _are_ jobs for lawyers who have been to jail. He just has to lay low for a few years 'til things cool off. Then later he will be seen as a celebrity, and will be very marketable. He might even teach his own ethics course for law students: Taking Advantage of Race and Gender to Enhance Career
