Farrakhan did this sometime ago with the Million Man March. The only mistake he made was he centered on keeping women as entitled princesses by advocating "taking care of them." Other than that millions of black men made history that day. I was very proud.

The women then had a Million WOMAN March which was a monumental failure. All of the women down there were rolling their eyes at each other, sucking their teeth, and just being catty. Tons of women said that the men's march was much more positive showing that anytime you sponsor a woman's event the jealousy, hatred, and childishness amongst the women will soon follow.

Father's issues (custody rights, etc.) will probably be the first major victory for the men's movement. But what I visualize in some future march is one in which a broad range of other issues is to be addressed, such as domestic violence, false accusations of rape, the large numbers of men in prisons and the mistreatment of them, pervasive misandry in the media and academia, anti-male hate legislation, etc.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. The one thing that would worry me is the _huge_ potential for violence. No doubt a lot of guys would join the march just to wreak havoc, i.e. people who are prone to riot for the sake of rioting.

You'll be amazed at how well men police themselves when it is something they actually care about. That is what amazed me about the Million Man March hosted by Farrakhan. It was very inspiring to say the least.
