Duke LAX Case Dropped

About f***ing time someone ended this farce. I hope Crystal Gayle Magnum (does that sound like a good name for a porn star, or what?!) is sued into destitution along with Mike "Evidence be damned" Nifong. Let us not forget the Duke faculity that all but convicted them.
I understand their families have each spent upper six lower seven figures on their defense. It would be a travesty if the families have to eat that loss.

Although I would like to see the false accuser held fully accountable for her actions, I would much prefer to see the D.A. raked over the coals by our legal system.

SHOW ME THE JUSTICE!!!

And this is the painful realization that the Duke families have been forced to make.
This travesty can happen to any man, anywhere.
And, if he does not have the 3 million for attorneys to fight it...he goes to jail!!!!

The players and defense lawyers will make statements. The entire Duke lacrosse team will be present to show support (1.5 years to late) for the 3 now free falsely accused players.

Crystal Gail Magnum will not be present... Gee, I wonder why. Shouldn't she be present to face charges for causing this whole debacle that cost millions to the State and the innocent men and their families?

The attorney general implied she was mentally unstable.
She "believed what she was telling when she was telling it"..."but nothing ever added up"....

A HUGE amount of "rapists" believe beyond ANY DOUBT whatsoever that the sex was consensual!

They are still charged and thrown into prison cells where they face real dangers including rape and murder because they are the lowest ranked criminals in prisons...

No one gives a second of consideration to what an accused man believes, so why should we give a shit what this woman, who has a criminal history, lost custody of her kids, is a known liar according to her boss at the club she worked at and the other dance that was at the party believes?

The press conference had a good first half, "innocent...", "need a new law to prevent rouge prosecutors..." etc

But the second half was pure undiluted cowardice. Blame it all on Nifong (the whole system from stat to finish is the problem not one guy) and proclaim: PROBLEM SOLVED!

No charges against the liar! One reporter used her name in a question but no one else would name her. Look at how she was found when she made the cry of rape! She had OBVIOUS MOTIVES TO LIE TO COVER HER OWN ASS!

The police need to change, the minds of the public need to change, the prosecutorial system needs to change. EVERYTHING from square one needs to change to prevent this from happening again.

Not just Nifong who clearly will fry for this after what the federal DA said about him in his press conference.

We can't just focus on one guy when the whole system is soaked through with misandry and needs to be fixed.

In my opinion the onus is now on the NC legislature to pass false rape accusation law that would discourage outrages like this in the future. But of course we all know that will not happen.

Anyway I hope the way is now clear for these 3 young men to gain financially from the great wrong that was done to them ESPECIALLY the idiots who call themselves professors at Duke U.

If those innocent young men had been falsely convicted, you may be sure Gandy would have penned a glowing essay about the need to protect woman against all rapists ... i.e. in N.O.W.-speak,

I can't wait to see Kim Gandy standing in the background all teary-eyed on the podium when Hillary makes her concession speech after losing the presidential election by a landslide!

The comments by Imus have superceded the outcome of the Duke Rape Verdict. Which means hypocrites like Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are off the hook. They don't have to speak about a case where three white guys have been proven innocent based on lies by a black woman.. Sharpton and Jackson are the very definition of hypocrisy. Kim Gandy?...ignores any inequities that affects men...and in this case....white males. They all make me sick, but political correctness gives them a platform to speak, without much resistance.

I'm glad the charges were finally dropped.

Now it's time for the lawsuits against Nifong, the DNA examiner, the false accuser, the Durham police, Durham Crimestoppers, Duke's Gang of 88, Duke University, and various media sources to begin.

I sure hope that these guys launch merciless scorch-the-earth lawsuits intended to bankrupt all of the above parties and to transfer the perpetrators' wealth and future earnings into the victims' bank accounts.

Sadly, in reality they'll probably only sue a few people and they will probably difficult to win, but I wish them the best of luck. I sure hope that the blogs stay on top of the lawsuits; I'm sure they will.

They'll probably want to wait for Nifong to get disbarred before going after him; that way they could use the fact of the disbarrment as evidence against him in their civil suits.

Also, if they can afford it, they should file their cases separately and make the perpetrators of the hoax have to defend three separate lawsuits. I'm also hoping that other members of the Duke team file suit along with the dismissed LaCrosse coach.

If a man is mentally unstable, that's a reason to lock him up.

I'm very happy for those young men... I hope the lawsuits that are soon to fly will cost the university and district dearly.

Now we get to wait to see if Nifong faces justice for his incompetence, we already know the girl is going to walk away with not even a slap on the wrist... I expect Nifong will get a slap... but no worse.

An interesting question came up last evening while I was at the bar: what was her motive? What was the reason for the madness? Did one small lie blow up into a much larger one? Did someone look at her funny? Or, is she just crazy and sees shadows in dark alleys? Has anyone suggested a motive, or are we assuming she didn't have one?

I suspect vindictiveness is a big reason for a woman to falsely accuse a man, when "she feels" she has been wronged. Other than that, Gender Feminist Crime Pays, but if it should happen not to work out for the false accuser as in the Duke Lacrosse case, there's no danger of accountability for the false accuser.

Are we allowed to advertise our Cafepress designs here? I'm wondering because I suspect that MR's posts might really be veiled excuses for including links to his Cafepress designs.

If we're allowed to do this, I'd like to know since I'm a Cafepresser myself and I could easily make some men's movement-like designs and start advertising them in my posts.

MR has been on this site long before he started showing his cafepress designs, and he only started showing these designs because other members wanted to be able to buy his T-shirts and bumper stickers. He's a true grassroots activist.

He's not an opportunist looking to make a quick buck. If you want to advertise on here, I'm sure Matt would love to work something out with you.
