Year after being put in prison for rape, accuser admits fabricating the story

Story speaks for itself:
'Perth Now reports that Patrick Waring, then a 15-year-old Catholic college student, was dragged out of bed by police a year ago and refused bail on the say-so of his 17-year-old accuser.
However, just before the trial started, the girl admitted lying about her sex life the whole time, Perth Now says. She had insisted she was a virgin.
DNA tests excluded Waring from her claims of rape.
Waring's accuser finally admitted she had had sex with a man at the back of a cinema the same afternoon, two hours before claiming Waring raped her at Joondalup's Central Park after following her from the railway station on 30 March last year.'

Time for yet another lawsuit--against the girl
-------------------
Patrick's father, Terry Waring, said his family had been torn apart for a year. His and his wife's belief in the justice system had been shattered.
"Shoddy work, cruelty and seeming vindictiveness cost us our house, financial security and a lifetime of savings for a three-week trial," he said.
-------------------
I hope that they can sue the false accuser for a tremendous amount of damages to be applied against her future earnings and to whatever extent her parents were in on it, her parents' estate. They should also try to demand a prosecution for making a false accusation and jail time for this criminal. Perhaps the police and prosecutors should also be sued if they committed shoddy detective work.
Were they trying to Nifong this guy?
Apparently this actually did go to trial. It also took the DNA testing company a whoppng 7 months (!!!) to provide the results, and even then the prosecutor continued with the case:
---------------
"In court, police conceded they had not followed best practice in the case."
---------------
Sadly, this is probably as much media attention as this will receive--and the victim was just a 15 year old boy! Unlike the attrocity at Duke, this will be quickly forgotten by the media. I sure hope his family files a "scorch the earth" type of lawsuit against all of the parties involved.
Exactly. Shades of the Duke Rape Hoax
Charge her!!
SHE should spend the 20 years in prison for what she has done to this family!
They have sacrificed everything (!!!) to support their son, who they knew was innocent. Their entire family, and their family's futures have been destroyed.
Someone should pay! The State should be held accountable for what has happened to this family...all based on the fabricated lies of a young woman!!!
She and her family should pay!! And the State should pay!!
oregon dad
This Story Keeps Coming Up Again And Again!
Just when are the various state governments going to get a damn clue and pass laws making false rape accusations a criminal FELONY!
Making a false rape accusation is equivalent to rape!
I hope this young man get a huge monetary settlement. If I were on the jury he would get one and then some!
False rape accusations are often WORSE then rape
Rape usually only deeply impacts one person. The friends, family and loved ones of a person raped do not directly share the suffering and their lives are not usually hugely impacted.
In the case of false accusation of rape on the other hand - as this story illustrates extremely well - the entire family of the person accused, as well as friends and loved ones are directly affected and often completely ruined by the lie.
Crying rape falsely is the lie that can literally destroy many lives in seconds by inflicting upon them a torture that will last years before any type of resolution and then the the rest of their lives healing the scars and recovering the losses both financial and emotional.
The police, prosecutors, and court system almost always treat those accused of rape much worse then those accused of any other crime - again, as this story illustrates so very well. So the torture begins when they are arrested when the police themselves admitted they did not use 'best practices' (that's legalese for we put this kid and his family through more hell then an outstanding unpaid loan from the mafia would cause).
Police almost always attempt to arrest 'rapists' in the most humiliating dehumanizing manner - often at their place of work or school and with an unnecessary amount of manpower, force or both involved (the more officers with guns drawn the more fear and surety of guilt of the person being arrested is instilled in those who witness the arrests). I know this beyond any doubt at all from personal experience and I know my experience with the police/courts as an accused rapist was standard and in no way unusual.
If you don't believe me, ask your self this:
If given the choice and you had to choose one would you choose
a) 10 minutes of horrific torturous rape that would not permanently scar your body (as it's extremely uncommon for a rape to leave lasting physical scars) but you had to endure every demeaning, dehumanizing act and verbal abuse in your worst nightmares.
or
b) You are falsely accused, arrested and physically and verbally abused by police four hours or even days while you are locked in a holding cell (the only one without a bed), your entire family must contribute every cent they have in this world to fund your defense. Your friends turn their backs on you, your family is forced to leave their church or social clubs and many of their friends abandon them as well. Your children or younger nieces, nephews or cousins are picked on in school. Plus, instead of all this happening in private with only a few people knowing, you hear Montel Williams talk about your case as if you are guilty on his day time talk show over a year before your case comes to trial and you have been on all the local news for days and they are at every hearing you attend. In the end you are totally acquitted, but no one says so much as sorry and the prosecutor comes to you at the end of the trial and says "Don't push this any further, just let it go and get on with your life. You're lucky enough to not be in prison, that can all change if you don't let this go."
Which one would you pick? I know I'd take option a) in a heart beat over option b). But then, I didn't get option a) as a choice, I got option b)
Excellent Observation
Police almost always attempt to arrest 'rapists' in the most humiliating dehumanizing manner - often at their place of work or school and with an unnecessary amount of manpower, force or both involved (the more officers with guns drawn the more fear and surety of guilt of the person being arrested is instilled in those who witness the arrests).
I have also observed how the cops use overwhelming force to arrest someone. It is like it is an autoerotic sexual experience for the beer gutted shaved head idiots that make up the average police force today. They seem to just love pointing loaded guns in the face of the "civilians." And to think we tax payers are paying for this garbage!
The headline
I think there's something wrong with this story's headline... Right now, it sounds like the accuser was put in prison for rape years before admitting the story was fabricated.
Perhaps it's not a prime
Perhaps it's not a prime example of English language excellence, and shouldn't be placed in English textbooks, but I think everyone can determine what it means. There's implied "of the imprisoned" between "accuser" and "admits".
The Perfect Predator
The vampire quoted -- "She said the cinema sex with a 20-year-old, who she had met on the internet, was rape, but she didn't want him charged because it might affect her compensation claim."
So let me get this straight?
She's still exploiting men and the legal shitstem for cash?
Men have created a nightmare bizarro world in which they invite themselves to be systematically harvested by a truly skilled predatory gender.
The more chauvinistic among us call them our "soulmates."
My advice?
Buy garlic, a crucifix, and a wooden stake and keep the kit under your pillow...
