Essay here.
Phyllis Schlafly...another individual who I personally feel is an ally towards our movement...
Excerpt:
"The notion is downright ridiculous that American women (the most fortunate class of people who ever lived) should submit to a treaty that dictates uniform rules for 185 other nations, all of which treat women worse than the United States. Ratification of conventions would be craven kowtowing to radical feminists, exceeded only by the treaty's unlimited capacity for legal mischief."

why just Republicans?
Remember that Republicans also like pandering to feminists; the VAWA was passed nearly unanimously by a GOP Congress and was sponsored by Hatch and Specter. Unfortunately, Joe Biden is the chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, where this treaty would go through, I'm sure. So you're probably going to need to line up some Democrats to oppose this thing as well. Sen. Lugar, R-IN, might be a good place to start, while he's been happy to use the the VAWA, he's the ranking minority member on the committee and would have the greatest sway after Biden.
