"Biden Wants Legal Brigade for Domestic Safety"

Story here. Excerpt:

"That is why Biden--author of the 1994 Violence Against Women Act, which created and funded federal programs to help victims of domestic violence--keeps thinking about new ways to reduce violence against women. And now with his party in power in the House and Senate, he is in position to find more support."

"Biden, an attorney, has written a bill that would create an electronic network of 100,000 lawyers willing to do volunteer work on behalf of victims of domestic violence. The bill would also set up a fund to help a separate group of lawyers--those who spend a majority of their time working on behalf of domestic violence victims--pay back their school loans."

He aims to capture the vote of all women.
And, as the propoganda war continues, many will believe the lies that women are more prone to be victims of domestic violence. It is our job to ensure that both sides of the story are told.

Women use a different type of indirect violence and coercion. But is is every bit as abusive as a slap in the face.

First, there is an important difference between coercion and violence and the two cannot be compared, public opinion is also clear on this.
Second, women just resort to different kinds of physical violence (more often with the help of a weapon or by an ambush) but they are just as likely to use it, as the well-known studies have suggested. They're a bit more likely to receive serious injuries than men.

It is a shame that out of the hundreds of people who are diagnosed with terminal cancer each month "Crazy Joe" Biden isn't one of the them.

as defined by VAWA, name calling, mental abuse, nagging, denigration,...these are all "domestic violence" as defined.
While you or I might disagree, this is the definition.

The problem is that they typically do not take this into account when a woman is dishing out the abuse (name calling, mental abuse, nagging, denigration, etc).

And everybody knows that women are weaker physically. Even women know this - it is part of their "tool kit". They get hurt because they goad, slap, hit, and eventually trip the trigger of a stronger human being. Result = injury.
While you state that public opinion is clear that there is a difference between coercion and violence, that statute says that there is no difference. And the public is NOT CLEAR on this fact. If you call a woman a bitch, that is domestic violence. If she calls you a worthless slob in front of your kids, that is domestic violence, as defined in VAWA.

It, apparently, has come to this.

"Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me" is no longer true.

Even "looks" that are considered "threatening" can land a man in jail - this is VAWA in action. On this the public is very poorly informed.

From that point of view and with that explanation, I agree to what you said. Without it, it appeared you defended DV as some form of self defense against verbal abuse.

His mind should be studied. We need answers to the question of when and how gut feelings with their roots in what went wrong in childhood are being transfered into seemingly rational actions.

"In February 1988, Biden was hospitalized for two brain aneurysms which kept him from the U.S. Senate for seven months."

This is the ultimate cause of all his legislation initiatives.

Joe Biden is the "Mike Nifong" of the US Senate. He enables false accusers, refuses to listen to alternate viewpoints and uses his evil enabling as a means to further his political career.

Yes, it has a nice ring to it: JOE "NIFONG" BIDEN.
