Mother Charged With Stabbing 3 Children Put On Suicide Watch

Things are looking very positive for this woman accused of murder. She'll have the usual mental illness and domestic violence claim as an excuse.
"A 22-year-old Hartford woman described by her attorney as having a history of mental health problems was placed on suicide watch Monday as she was formally charged with stabbing her three young sons."
"Public defender Laila Haswell said Ortiz has a history of mental health problems and has been a victim of domestic violence. The latter claim generated an angry reaction from several women who were ordered to leave the courtroom."

My wager on this case
My money's on her getting her children back after the trial.
You know, 'cause attempting to kill them won't cause any physical or emotional scarring on them (if any, certainly no where near the scarring that a red bum from a slap by dad would cause) and putting them back in her care won't make those non-existent scars worse. At least that's how the judge will see it anyway.
I bet she gets probation, a prescription, some money and her kids back.
You forgot to say that she will also get therapy
But "community service"? Nahhh..that would be going too far..she has already suffered enough!

Therapy's what I meant by "...a prescription,..."
She'll likely get ordered to some court appointed psychiatrist who'll write her a prescription for - whatever the cure all happy pill is this month - proclaim her cured and send her on her way to love and care for - umm, or kill, you know whatever, her 3 beautiful children.
'Cause if she kills them then the company who makes the next in line cure all happy pill can pay for her lawyers to argue that the other companies pill made her worse (since it's never really going to be her fault) and they shouldn't be the cure all happy pill any more. Just business as usual (as sickening as the usual business is)
