What was most intriguing (and disturbing) about this article is she had sex with him in 4 different cities.
"She has been charged with sexual assault of a child and improper relationship between an educator and a student, both of which are second-degree felonies, according to a news release from Frisco police"
"The boy told investigators that that he and Torres had sex in four different cities, primarily in her F-150 pickup either at his Frisco apartment complex or at soccer fields in The Colony, according to an arrest warrant affidavit."

Heaven forbid we keep her in jail until the trial like we would if she happened to be a he.
"She is on paid leave while a police investigation continues, school officials said Friday."
They did not even fire her! Paid vacation while the investigation continues which could take over a year before the jury reaches it's verdict. Good to see she'll be able to work at some other job while still getting her salary from her teaching job while she awaits trial. She'll have plenty in the bank for an appeal if she loses but no lawyer would ever make a woman pay legal fees when they can collect their full fees from tax payers when their client is a woman.
"She could face up to 20 years in jail and a fine of $10,000 for each charge, McFarlin said.
But realistically she'll most likely get house arrest and an exemption from what is mandatory for male offenders - registration on the sex offender registry.
If she were a man then 20 years would be almost expected.

Where exactly are you getting that information? Do you mean if the lawyer is a public defender? In that case, even if he defended a man he would still be paid for by the public.
