Prominant UK Magazine Points Out Male Discrimination In Divorce

An article by UK site askmen.com has recognised the discrimination against men divorce suits. Excerpt:

'Seven out of 10 divorces are initiated by women. While there are no hard statistics, wouldn't you agree that maybe nine out of 10 marriage proposals are also initiated by women? A study done by two blokes name Kuhn and Guidubaldi found that a "gender bias" in the court system makes divorce an inviting idea to the ladies. Why wouldn't it? Women tend to keep the kids, the house, the dog, the car, and half the property. They get to keep the rock, too. This suggests that not only are men getting screwed by the marketing of the De Beers diamond corporation during the engagement, but the actual judicial system is also stacked against guys during the divorce.'

Why does he go aand spoil it right at the end and say "women are likely to deal with their divorce in a more constructive way?" Surely, in many cases, the reason is obvious. If you have custody of the kids you don't have time to be sorry for yourself and you wake up each morning with two (or three, or whatever) of the best reasons to keep going.

I think I read that somewhere before, that 'women recover better from divorces'. Gee, I'm not a psychologist or anything, but maybe it's cause they won. Besides, what is a "constructive way" to deal with divorce? That sounds like the typical bullshit that permeates our society, like in the vein of, "women's ways of looking at things are superior", "women are creating a new paradigm in the workplace", "men think too linearly", etc. It is a mixture of hype, bullshit, ignorance and shoddy journalism.
