Convicted female murderer granted 4th trial

This story shows a true bias and a definite problem in the Canadian legal system. Giving a 4th trial to this monsterous killer allows the victim's family to endure nearly a decade thus far, and probably more, than a decade of torture when it's all said and done.
Kelly Ellard will get a 4th trial in the beating death of Reena Virk. It took two trials to get her found guilty and now she's getting a 4th trial almost a decade after the fact.
To give come perspective, her at-the-time boyfriend was an accomplice (though Ellard was the planner, instigator, and primary attacker in the beating) and he only got one trial, was found guilty, and has already finished his sentance. After this long, why on Earth should she get another trial?
Suman Virk, Reena's mother, called the situation "ridiculous."
"I don't know where this judge gets off thinking that Kelly Ellard is entitled to this," she said. "There's been three trials. She's been found guilty.

Not guilty by reason of possessing a vagina
They're just trying her to get her free and clear on the undeniable evidence that she possesses a vagina and is thus clearly innocent of whatever crimes they are accusing her of.

Sounds like a great way to spend those taxpayer's dollars (majority paid by males). I'm sure the prosecution didn't get the correct CSI episode on the TV which grants unlimited retrials until she's found innocent. Sound familier?
Not "accusing her of" SHE DID commit the crime
She DID beat the other girl to death. There is no question about it. She inflicted the woulds (or at least the overwhelming majority of them) that resulted in te death of the other girl.
This is also the first time the Canadain Media is not saying "Oh, poor Kelly, look at what she's been through with all these trials. She should be let free. She's suffered enough" This is the first time the Canadian media is taking the side of the victums family and saying that they do not need to be dragged through another trial. I guess after the three trails already to try and exonerate Ms Ellard, even the feminist controled Canadian media cannot deny her guilt.
Yet here we go again anyway. Let's try again to get this murdering woman set free.
But I agree completely that the only reason for this 4th trial is that she is the proud owner of a vagina and thus is entiteled to be innocent after being repeatedly found guilty.
It's no accident when three different trials hearing three different - revised to try and make her seem not guilty - versions of the evidence and all three come back with guilty verdicts.
What are they going to do for the 4th, deny the victim even existed?

it seems the court system is so eager to give a female criminal every opportunity to prove her innocence. (impossible in this case)...i simply do not understand why the courts will not acknowledge the reality that female criminals need to be removed from society. the u.s. and canadian court system has severe flaws. two sets of rules exist for male and female criminals.
this court case is looking for any opportunity to let this criminal walk free.
women are simply not held accountable for their crimes. the courts look for any exuse (ie: she's a victim, or mentally ill) that suggests that she's not an evil individual. we all know this: there are evil females in this world.
when will a respected political figure stand up and question the blatant empathy courts have for women? i fear it might never happen.
note to females: go out and committ a crime, rob a bank, 5 years probabtion and community service isn't a bad deal.

Women successfully use the "I'm the real victum" or the "I am mentally ill" cards all the time. Sometimes it's true, most of the time is a complete fabrication to avoid any responsability.
But, these tactics seem to work very rarely when a male tries them. Is it not true that many males who commit serious crime are in fact mentally ill? Is it also untrue that many many males who commit crimes were themselves victums of crimes? Do men never kill their wives in self defence?
I personally am of the beleif that many men who commit crimes are mentally ill and/or have been the victums of some horrific crimes themselves. Why don't these men get off or get free retials on the tax payers bill untill they find some technicality to let them go on?
Or, would it be better to try and teach the men who commit crimes because all they have ever known is crime and victumization how to live a better life and NOT LIMIT THEIR OPTIONS when they are released? If some one genuinely makes an effort to turn their life around and be a good person should we not allow them the same employment opertunaties as every other good person?
Should there not be more options for seeking help for those men who are mentally ill and commit crimes as a result?
There are extremely limited mental health programs in North American prisons... most of the time mentally ill inmates recieve no treatment at all either because there is nothing suitable for them or nothing available at all.
I get the traditional male 'pick yourself up by your bootstraps' and turn your own life around attitude... but isn't it time to start re-evaluating that? Maybe less men would kill themselves if they had another option that was actually (not theoretically) available to them?
Everyone here seems to be of the opinion that there are no male equivalents to women's shelters, but you are wrong, men have half way houses. Of course a man has to already have messed his life up pretty bad to get into one but they would seem to me to be about the only option in many cases for men to get help getting their life back together
