A Man to be Proud Of!

Saw this story today and it made me feel good. Glad to see someone living his convictions even if it means foresaking running water! Of course, now that his story is published, will he get a moment's peace? His observations about finding a mate will likely get some laughs from the audeience as well.

I admire him for being able to survive on his talent and wits. Not many “liberated” women would want to live in the conditions that he thrives under. Not having an indoor toilet is only one of the put-offs that would scare the materialistic princesses off; these women need instant access to a myriad of goods and services to maintain their superficial look-good façade. They don’t create, they consume; they don’t give, they take; they’re not honest, they deceive and manipulate. They exist in this fashion within the context of “civilized” society because society allows (encourages) them to and usually some poor sucker is hoodwinked into paying the bills. Here’s a babe that might be the exception to the rule:

If I were him and still wanted a wife I would have never told the reporter that I had a lot of money in the bank! He better be careful about what he wishes for he just may get it!

That being said, I personally have not cut on my airconditioners this summer just to see if I could get along without that modern necessity. I use electric fans, open most windows and doors and when the cool of the evening comes I go outside to my porch to get some "free" air conditioning like they did back in the olden days. So far I have saved a lot of money on electric bills and have not been terribly inconvenienced by the heat. Also, I dumped my cable back in 2002 and have not missed it either along with the $45.00 per month bill!
