Verdict for Murder of Two Children by Father Shows Pro-Female Bias in Courts

Ever wonder how things would have played out if Andrea Yates was an Andrew? Wonder no more -- "A bank executive who said he had battled depression for years was sentenced Friday to life in prison for killing his 5-year-old twin daughters. David Crespi, 45, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder to spare his family the trauma of a trial and possible death penalty. He has a wife, Kim, and three surviving children. In court, Crespi apologized to his family and his late daughters, Samantha and Tessara, saying the girls "deserved to grow up" and be loved. Crespi told police that in his periods of depression, he thought of killing his children, wife and parents or running over strangers with his car, but he had always been able to stop himself.

hello

lets face facts:...men are held accountable for their actions. the next time feminists discuss inequity regarding females, explain to them the reality of a male biased court system is an advantage. life in prision?
its been said many times "male criminals are incarcerated, while female offenders are reabilitated.

in all honesty, as a male, i consider my self lucky that i havent been thrust in the role of "victim". none of us here are victims, simply intellegent men that are aware of male bigotry.

i hope, but seriuosly doubt, this will get national attention. i would love to see cnn or fox anayalize this case and compare the outcome to the yates travesty.

i'm surprised there are not more female criminals..i can see the headline "female bank robber aqquited based on p.m.s"

its also a reality that this mans depression was not considered as severe as postpartum.

someone on this site (i forgot who) made an excellent comment. "its very convienent for women with postpartum, it is now considered the most severe form of depression."

this man couldn't have suffered from his depression, he's a guy, he killed his children, he's evil, lock him away for ever??

as usual...disgusted

thankyou

To be honest about this I can't understand why his defense lawyers did not plead not guilty by reason of insanity. In my opinion he was a perfect candidate for it.

Also, it sounds like he was reacting to years of social conditioning were a real man has to stand up and be chivalrous and take all the blame for what happens.

It is not much of a deal when you plead guilty to 1st degree murder to spare your family the trauma of a murder trial. And of course he was apologizing to everyone in a hundred mile radius too!

Slaves have never been accorded proper standing under the law, or the same rights as "citizens". More than anything else, this bullshit just tells me exactly where men stand in this day and age.

Next time you have a chivalrous feeling, think twice, guys. More often than not you'll get a hassle, not thanks.

...despite the fact that men commit suicide at 4 times the rate of women, even though women claim to suffer from mental illnesses more frequently. They don't. They might bitch about things far more than men do, but that doesn't make it a reality. People, in keeping with the woman-as-victim myth, invariably claim that mental illnesses are more severe in women. They aren't. I certainly believe that the healthcare system cares far more when a poor wo-victim is afflicted, but the facts don't support their epidemiological assertions and hypochondriacal whining. Yates walked because she has a vagina, and men are suckers for pussy. Period.

By considering the stats for suicide, and the overwhelming majority of male children among those who receive "treatment" for ADHD, we can conclude that mental illnesses affect men much more seriously than they affect women. Sure, it's not very chivalrous to claim that there might be ANYTHING which negatively affects men more than women, but there it is, proof and all. Suck on it, grrlz.

So, the next time some woman throws the "women have it worse" bullshit at you, do fill her in.

Well I am certainly not surprised by this either, there are differences between the Yates case and this one.

She flat out refused from day one to accept one ounce of responsability and there was no way she was going to plead guilty.

He on the other hand "took it like a man" and stood up, said he was sorry and plead guilty and recieved his sentance.

Also, he stabbed (most people react more vicerally when they hear of a stabbing then a drowning) the GIRLS (obvious aggravating factor)

Should ha have gotten the NGBRI like Yates? Absolutely, he clearly is suffering greatly from his mental illness

Would he have gotten the death penalty if he tried to plead insanity and it went to trial? Again, ABSOLUTELY.

I disagree with you that we here on these boards are not victims. We are not victims in the feminist sence, but I have yet to meet an MRA who has not experienced some form of victimization at the hands of the current system. We are s far as I can tell all victims.

As far as "not more female criminals"... there are just as many female criminals (if not more) as there are male criminals. The sad truth is that most female criminals are never arrested or prossecuted for their crimes. Hell, women commit many crimes with absolute impunity these days because they know full well that nothing will be done to stop them.

"insurgent" -- a person who revolts against false authority; one who acts contrary to accepted policies and decisions....

I would like to draw a distinction between being "assaulted" by the system and being "victimized."

Obviously the majority of MRA's have arrived at their present consciousness because of some type of assault, some injustice, some personally experienced violence by the State.

Being assaulted does not make you a victim unless you accept that label.

Did you resist your assaulters?

Do you continue to resist based on educating yourself, interrogating authority, reflecting on your own thinking, seeking out truth, seeking out comrades?

Then you are not now, and will never be a "victim."

That psychology is what will allow men to prevail against feminism and avoid falling into the trap of "victim-emasculation."

No conscious MRA is a victim.

Insurgency is a combat-stance and always will be.

Just be carefull not to get labeled a terrorist. In the USA especially the word Insurgent is almost synonomus with the word terrorist and can easily be taken the wrong way.

But I definately hear what you are saying.

I am fighting very hard against my government for justice for myself and to set legal precident that holds false accusers accountable in Canada

These two murder cases -- Andrea Yates and David Crespi -- are clear reminders of the double standard in how we view male and female offenders, even murderers. We really do treat women like children and men like adults, that is, we hold men accountable and we infantalize women. Incredible.

Keep an eye on the Mary Winkler case -- the Tennessee woman accused (she confessed to the police) of shooting her minister husband to death while he slept. It appears they had been having financial problems, possibly due to her having invested money in some deal that turned out to be a scam. I don't know for sure, of course, but I suspect Mary Winkler will get a much lighter sentence than her husband would have gotten had he murdered his sleeping wife under the same circumstances.
