The Power of False Accusations

Race-riots took place last year in the UK's second largest city, Birmingham, following rumours that a local West Indian girl had been raped by a gang of Asian men. There is no eidence the rape ever happened, but the ensuing public disorder left one man dead, and at least 30 people taken to hospital."
