Afghan Convert was also Seeking Child Custody when Arrested
This BBC news report adds a critical missing piece of information about the recent story regarding the Afghan man who, after converting to Christianity, was held for trial on charges of apostasy. It appears as if he had converted sixteen years ago and had left Kabul, but returned from the Panjshir Valley to try to get custody of his daughters. Only then after his relatives complained was he arrested for the crime of choosing his own "unacceptable" religious beliefs! This important piece of information of course only comes toward the end of the report, so read the whole article.
