Mace makes allegations of sexual abuse against multiple men from the House floor

Article here. I have reasons why I think this is made up. In any case, it's one to watch. Excerpt:

'As Rep. Nancy Mace prepared to speak, she took out a Bible and — as if she were in a courtroom, instead of on the House floor — she placed her right hand and swore to tell the “whole truth.”

The South Carolina congresswoman then delivered a damning 53-minute speech that has no precedent in the chamber’s history. Describing herself as “going scorched earth,” Mace accused her ex-fiancé of “evil” crimes including physical assault, rape and sex trafficking against her and other women — accusing him and several other men by name on the floor. While Mace did not provide specific evidence of her claims, she said she brought the case to state authorities for further investigation.

“Tonight is about justice for me and tonight is about justice for all of the women that you all raped, that you all filmed, that you all photographed, that you all abused for years,” Mace said on the floor, in a tone that alternated between somber and scorching. Three other GOP women, Reps. Anna Paulina Luna, Lauren Boebert and Victoria Spartz, sat behind her, listening closely, while Mace’s mother sat in the House gallery above.'

First off the legislature is no place for allegations vs. pvt. citizens to be heard or judged. Courts of law are the proper venue. She should know that. Second, any lawyer will tell you that you keep your case to yourself and wait for trial to state your case. There are a number of reasons for this, all favoring the prosecution. Her lawyers assuredly would have advised her not to discuss the case except with them.

But instead she did the toxically feminine and typical thing which was to publicly denounce a man w/ whom she had some kind of disappointment in a romantic rel'p. My guess is he realized she was hardly wife material and broke it off. Naturally she used her privileged political position to denounce him. As her comments were made in the legislature, she is (or believes) she is safe from prosecution under libel laws. And so it goes. Toxic femininity exists anywhere toxic women go, including legislatures. Let's hope the voters realize what they have elected and do better next time.
