Insightful, except for the disparagement of "boomers"
Whatifalthist makes many good points but go wrong when you disparage "boomers" as if they were a monolithic group that is out of touch with younger generations. "Boomers" didn't all have the same experiences, and the latter part of the baby boom (sometimes called Generation Jones) also dealt with the start of economic difficulties and rising prices from the mid-1970s onwards. It is counterproductive and alienating to castigate people for things beyond their control, such as the year that they were born in.
